Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My daughter is schedules to leave that same day for boot camp. That is if she doesn't get it moved up. Her fiancee left for army boot camp last week and is so ready to begin her journey. Me not so much. I want to keep her around as long as I can but we will see! My daughter is 19 and I am nervous too. I have not been away from either of my children more than a week their entire life. One is 19 and the other is 24. Big adjustment coming.

I can't believe it... my son is actually 19. OMG where did the time go... and now we have 3 weeks! Yikes! I really would love to gather a group together to get through this.... navyformoms? facebook? personal email? I don't care - I just would love to get get connected. I guess the best start is here... anyone else wanting to share what they are going through? If so, where is the best place to connect?

The best place is right here! Once you son gets to boot camp, there will be a group for his division, too. This is where everyone is.

Hey Mamamarch, I'm so sorry! I didn't see your reply. No, this is my first time, but I've been here since March. My SR was a DEPper, so I tried to get all the info I could before.
It's been an awesome resource!

My 17 y/o son is leaving the same time, we are from NY. He is excited, I am excited for him but also nervous. I know he will do fine, but he will always be my baby!

My son who is 17 leaves the same time. We live in Brewster NY so he will be leaving from MEPS in Albany. Does your son leave from Albany too? And yes, I calculated that PIR will be Thanksgiving week too. From what I see, they should have the PIR on Wed and be allowed to spend Thanksgiving with friends and family, and then will leave for their "A" school on Friday.
