B, I can't believe your husband called at the same time. Now what is the odds of that. Hugs. K
Yes, it was awesome! He really never calls me until 7p.m. my time and 9 his time. It's not even 3 my time now.

He even said, I guess somehow I knew. :)

Betsy
Betsy, I am so excited and happy for you....I think I remember correctly "A" left on Monday 10/25? so it is 3 days and the box comes, so "T" left yesterday that would make "Box" delievery on Saturday/Monday? Does that sound about right? Does it come by FedEx? UPS? Regular postal service express? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really excited for you.....reading the post from all of you that had kids leave earlier in the week encourages me to just keep moving because my turn is coming.

Oh and one other thing with "A" called you the night he arrived you said it was from his cell phone, did you get another call after that, I think Nancy may have said she got a call from the bus and then again from BC. I only receive the cell phone call, just wondering.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth - I received 2 calls. One from the bus and one from the recruit center. I'm not sure why he was able to call from the bus. He seemed surprised too. Susan
Betsy, thank you for the info, I already have feelings of dread and happiness for the arrival of the box, happy for the piece of him back, dread because is really real....I'm still sort of in denial I think. Some how I think I will start to feel better when I receive a letter or a call, I have been sitting all day thinking, gosh I wonder what "T" is doing today, did he sleep at all, is he now wearing the "Smurf" sweatsuit.....it's hard going from talking every day to nothing......

My son Mike was still upset this morning going to school, I went through "T"'s room and found a smaller t-shirt for him to wear so he would have his brother with him all day.....I'll probably be flopping around in all his clothes when the "Box" shows up....won't I look cute going to work with big ole jeans on underneath my work cloths.....

Elizabeth
Elizabeth, I only got texts LOL, the girlfriend got a call... :-) but I WAS able to exchange several text messages as he went to dinner and had tons of time before the ride to GL. Seems like it anyway. The official call went to the GF and she called me at midnight. I was getting TM from I beginning around 8:00 our time...So there were at least 4 hours. It probably depends on how efficient they are about having the bus there ready to take the kids. The ride is silent (I've heard), and I don't believe they can text either.
Nancy
Nancy...what time zone are you in your timing coincides with my texts and phone call (I am Eastern TZ) wonder if our boys were either on the same bus or somewhere in the same group, I would be curious to know.
Betsy, I read your comment about the smell and I SO get it! I took my son's sweatshirt home from MEPS and hung it in the garage after smelling it...decided not to wash it as it smelled like him. Not telling my hubby, he would think I was nuts..glad I am NOT the only one. :-)
Nancy
FYI- none of my comments are going where I put them...so I hope they make sense. I needed some down time from N4Ms after everything yesterday. Very rough emotionally, My sister called and said my mom had left me a message and I hadn't called back and I told her, I just can't call mom yet, you call her and tell her he is OK... I would have totally fallen apart talking to my mom. weird by true. LOL

Glad to be back, you guys have had lots of interesting developments!!!! I'm SO jealous that I am going to have to wait to find out stuff. I see you know your ships...did you find out about PIR too?? I haven't read all the way through yet!!
Nancy
Awww, Nancy ((hugs))

I can imagine how emotional it would be talking to your mom. We are so glad to have you back. We missed you. I hope you are doing better today.

I don't know A's ship or Div. yet, still waiting for the call from his recruiter.

Betsy
You know Betsy, the Navy is all about team work. I think we need to send A's recruiter a memo that us Mom's are also doing the teamwork thing but that he is holding us up by not calling you back! Susan
Man! That stinks!! How far is the office from you? I would maybe be parked outside his door when he shows up in the morning! I am dying to see if A is with D or with B. LOL, All we need is a "C" and we'll be set :) Susan
