My son left today I am an emotional wreck waiting for my 30 second "I am here mom".

You got lucky with a 30 second call - we got 6 seconds.
My fiance left on the 3rd. I was on my ship all day and was afraid I was going to miss his call. Fortunatly he didn't make it to Chicago until after I got out of work so I got to have my final phone call with him. My fiance went through all this with me in January of this year. It is much harder on this side than on the boot camp side. This website is keeping me a little stronger and talking to my mom who has already gone through this. I'm also glad that I already know what to expect!!
So it has been a week today and I still havent heard from the recruiter?  Has anyone else gotten an address from their recruiter?  He said it would be about a week.  Also,  no box yet.  Anyone get a box yet?
I haven't got an address yet but, the box came yesterday. Has anyone heard when our PIR will be? Im thinking Nov 23, from what I have read in other postings but, I haven't heard anything officially yet.
We got our box yesterday too. Thinking our PIR will be 12/2 or 12/9. When did your SR arrive at RTC
He arrived on Oct 4th.

I would recommend you wait for the package from your SR. The recruiter may not have the correct address. I heard many moms say they got the address from the recruiter and their letters were returned undeliverable. Our SR shipped out on 10/5 and the box arrived yesterday. Hoping we get his address this week. I have 7 letters to mail.

I have picked up on that as well... I figure I should have my letter by the end of the week... My son's girlfriend got an address from the recruiter but I don't want my stuff getting bounced back or lost.... My son left the 4th and got my box on Monday...
Mine shipped out on the 4th, and we got his box Monday on the 10th.  I am still waiting on the packet with the address.  Hopefully it will come today or tomorrow.  Wanted to get him some mail this week, but maybe I will have to wait till next week.
I was hoping to get a letter today with my son's address but guess I will have to wait and see if I get it tomorrow. I think BC is not only for our kids but for us too. It sure is teaching me discipline and patience. Neither of which I am good at. I have 8 letters sitting here waiting on an address. I am hoping he has PIR 12/2 and not any later cause I have my countdown going. 51 more days. I feel like I am crazy, when my girls left home (college) I didn't feel this way at all, perhaps because they were a phone call away. This has been extremely hard on me this time. We are now empty nesters and it stinks.
