OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

I left info for you on your My Page.

BTW, you have a recruit, not a Sailor yet. You won't have a Sailor until he passes Battle Stations-21 (BST) in the last week before PIR.

My SR left on the 19th too. How are you doing, hope your holding it together better than me!!!!

My recruit left the same day from Seattle.

Hi Rose have you received any information about your recruit yet? We got his box yesterday, still waiting for the form letter. Can't wait to send these letters that are starting to pile up.

fab5mom, check your My Page.

Hello! We got the box 2 days ago, but no letter yet. I'm wondering about PIR because of the holidays. All we can do is wait and see!

Rose, check your My Page.

My son left from the midwest on that day too. I was proud I didn't cry in front of him, but what I did after he got on the plane - well he doesn't have to know, does he? I have been holding it together, but just barely. My daughter called me at work on Thursday to let me know his box had arrived and I started crying in my office. Wow, I knew it was going to be difficult, I just didn't realize how much.

I haven't gotten my box yet:( starting to get super anxious!
My recruit left on the 19th too. We got his box on Friday, but still no letter. Feeling anxious. Wondering when he will get a chance to call home. Missing my son.
Hopefully we will get the form letter early this week Pumpkin. I folded his clothes and put them back in the box maybe tomorrow I can bring myself to wash them. Missing my son too sending (((nmh)))

I got my form letter today! but missed the fedex man with my box:(
