Son left to GL on 10/8/14. I know this has been his dream since he was little but I sure do miss him. He was supposed to leave to go on a hunting trip that day. They moved his ship date up. He was ready to go. I'm glad because at least the weather won't be quite as cold in October. Does any one else have SR that shipped then in the NUKE program?

Hi nathansmom,
I had both a son and a daughter ship to GL on 10-16-13. Both are in the nuke program, and are currently in Power School. You will find a wealth of information on this site, and also the Nuke Moms group, if you haven't joined that one already. As far as the weather, it will likely be nice for a while, but I wouldn't bank on anything. Last year's PIR (12-13-13) was bitter cold, even for Chicago. Not too worry, however; they bundle those kids up like they live in Outer Siberia. The sailors from the northern states complain because they are too hot with all of the layers, and the sailors from the warmer locations are freezing...lol. Fair winds and following seas to you and your sailor...
My son is on ship 13 group 29. Anyone else? I received the box today and the PIR date of Dec 5th
I just received the box today, and PIR date as the same. My son is Ship 4, Division 038
Did you receive the form letter or get that info from the recruiter?
Remember, don't send letters until you get the form letter.
My son is on ship 12 DIV 035. Does any one else have someone on ship 12?
PIR: 12/05/2014 TG 04 - 13 Divisions (027-038 and 904) 3 guests (Divisions not confirmed by the RTC.) (The link will be active later tonight or tomorrow. Keep checking.)
