Hi there how are you doing? My wife said that Matt's box came yesterday. It looked like he was in a hurry when he packed it. the pants were inside out, and every thing was just thrown in. We don't have a ship number yet, hopefully in a few days. There was a picture on Facebook that we were sure was our son Matt, carrying a flag in a group of recruits..
Have you seen the Navy Recruit Training Command Facebook page?

Well best of luck, we are keeping everyone in our prayers. Talk to you soon. Rick (mom&dad4Mattj)

No way!! How exciting :) I never received a box so I dont think my husband decided to send back his clothes. I hope we get a ship number soon, I have this fear that Im not going to get any letter from him and im going to just be stuck all by myself... silly I know but thats just me I suppose!

I have not seen the nacy recruit training command facebook page but im going to look it up now. Thank you for sharing :)

I hope you guys have a good night and you are also in our prayers.

That would be so cool if they are! At least he had made a friend and I did too and thank you, I know i gotta be more positive with that note and id love to stalk to mail box but its a long walk to it and its hot as heck out here! haha

I also had another hard day.. feeling incredibly lonely today! Im still carrying my phone everywhere i go just incase and when I dont get a call im starting to feel kind of more down. this is tough.. i really hope it gets easier.

Btw I had emailed you.. I hope I got the address right, if not that person who ever they might be is going to get a long email that makes no sense to them! haha oh geez i needed that i actually ended up laughing right there. :)

Thanks for the Facebook info. I am going there now! I would love to see a picture of my Matt!

The first weekend without our recruits:(.  It seems like it has been such a long day.  I keep checking the Facebook page to see if any more random pictures have been posted...hoping for a glimpse of my son.  All the clothes that came home in the box have been washed and put away.  I wonder if they will still fit after boot camp!

im dreading my first weekend too :( after the kids went to bed im starting to feel kinda lonely.. oh and i realized who you are your son are! I was looking at the pictures from tuesday and I recognized your son from your picture on here. I remember you guys now and I think you were standing closest to the bathroom when vinnie ( my older boy) was holding onto the hubbys leg saying no daddy, since he didnt want to leave him. :(

Yes, that was us. It's been a weird week for us. I'm off on a yearly fishing trip, and Julie is home with Kevin our 15 year old. He is all wrapped up with baseball, so that has kept her busy. She did manage to clean his bathroom yesterday, otherwise she won't spend any time in his room... Will just take time.. . Oh well, time to start packing up our camp to head home. Hope you have a good week! Hang in there.

we made it through are first weekend! Hope you guys had a good weekend and enjoyed your fishing trip :) Hope we get our letters today

My son, Scott, left 9/18/12 from Tampa, FL everything seemed to go fairly well.  Looking forward to correspondences!

Hope things continue to go well :) You may be way across to the other side of the states but if you ever need to talk or anything im here for ya!
