Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

My husband left for bootcamp on 9/24/19, I just wanted to see if there was anyone else in the same boat. Very impatiently waiting for the form letter and would love to know when everyone else receives theirs! His PIR date will most likely be around Thanksgiving (weekend before/of).

My brother left 9-17-19. We received the form letter yesterday 10-3-19. His graduation date is Nov 15th. Since your husband left exactly 1 week after my brother, I can assume you will receive the form letter sometime next week, but maybe sooner. PIR May be Nov 22 for you. But this is just my estimate. Please wait for the form letter. I know how you feel because I also signed up for informed delivery through USPS, but his letter that arrived yesterday was not seen on the informed delivery. I hope this helps you a little bit. Hang in there, it should come soon. We did not receive any personal letter from him. Just the form letter - 5 pages I believe. I went to the post office right away to mail him letters.

Thanks for the advice! You were right about the PIR date I'm pretty sure. I just got his address from his recruiter, I know there's the possibility of it being incorrect/changing so I wrote him a quick, generic letter on Sandboxx to let him know the others will be on their way once I get the official form.

My son left 9-24-19. His recruiter gave us the Nov 22 Grad date. We are still waiting on the official letter :)

Just got his form letter! PIR on 11/22/19

Happy for you that you finally got THE letter!!!

I still haven't gotten any mail from my son since he left the recruit office 9/17.  I finally called the recruitor who gave me info on his division and mailing address.  I am thankful to have some information.  What division is your husband in?

Hello ... I’m sorry you have not received the for letter yet. I also messaged the recruiter to find out my brother’s address, but chose to just wait for the official form letter from him just in case there’s a change in ship and division. I have read that there are several reasons why it might be delayed. Please hang in there. Waiting for me was also very hard. I hope it will real soon for you. By the time we got his address I already had 4 weeks worth of letters to mail. When he called last Saturday I told him I mailed 14 letters in one day and he answered me by saying “you’re embarrassing” while laughing. I told him I wanted him to have multiple mails a week even if he doesn’t reply to me. Anyway, please just wait and I know it will come soon. I pray for you and your SR’s safety. Take care and please let us know when you receive it. Keep us posted. This website has helped me a lot.

When I got his information from the recruiter I went ahead and sent a letter through Sandboxx - just because I had heard they receive those the quickest and if it wasn't the "right" address I wasn't too concerned. My husband is in one of the 800 divisions! Facebook has a lot of groups as well if you search for the PIR date and I've found them to have more information than this page since there are more people on Facebook. Hope you get your letter soon!! I know it sucks to wait.
