My son is leaving today to go to MEPS but he actually ships out to BC tomorrow.

We are in South Carolina. I am okay with him leaving. I know that he will be in good hands, God's hands and the Navy. He is so excited that anything I say goes in one ear and out the other.
My daughter didn't say ship/div in the scripted call. :-/
Rave's Mom, he would not have said his ship and division number because he would not have had it when he made the "I'm here!" call. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC. I also left info for you on your My Page.
Mine did also. Where are you located? I'm in TX. Have you gotten your "kid in a box" yet?
My son left for BC on 9/4. I am still waiting on his "kid in a box". I just emailed his recruiter to see if he can get me a graduation date so we can purchase airline tickets.
Hi brandnew45, my son left for bc on 9/4 out of San Diego. I received his box yesterday afternoon. I have been told that the letter with all the graduation details comes after the box. We are also waiting "patiently" for info so we can order tickets. Where did you son leave from?
Hi Derrick's mom, my son left from from the military base in Fort Lee, VA. I was thinking that I would have had his box by now. So it looks like our sons will be graduating on the same day, which I am thinking will be on 10/31 - Halloween. I read that PIR is always on a Friday unless it's a holiday. Have you or are you going to send him a calling card?
I included a couple of calling cards in his wallet so he would have some. When I get his address, I will include calling card numbers in my note to him. Have you heard of callsforrecruits.org? They email out calling card info to send to SR's in bootcamp. They ask that your SR pass out a couple of the numbers to SR's who don't have any. Great program!
