Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

yes my son flew out today and I just got his call 30 mins ago how are you doing?? Did you get your call yet?

Hi Lorie-Lee, yes I got the phone late on wednesday night. So quick and serious!! Have you recieved box yet?

Yes mine too in yesterday. Got the 15 sec call that said I'm in around 1pm ish. I am doing better than my husband I think.

Hi Penelope! Yup it was a quick call, i could tell he was distracted! I am doing ok, it hits me in short waves but like you, i think a little better than hubby. One thing good though, hubby has been on knees more in prayer!

 

Yes! My son also left on the 19th and I havent heard from him at all! where did your son fly in from?

Hi Kristina : ) no I still haven't heard from him : ( I did find out that they sleep from 8pm to 6am so that made me feel better...

My son left Sept 19th too..We are all in the same boot! Ha Hang in there mama.. This week has been draining. I have never cried so much and so easy ever..I really have found this group and the facebook group have made it so much easier. They totally ROCK! Navy Mom's are the best!

Oh buddy do these forums help!! I am so proud of my son and very proud to be in this with other great moms! I will keep you all in my prayers as well as your youngins. We can do this!

Got the "kid' in a box today, came fed ex too. Now we wait for the letter, right?

What!!???  Oh thank you so very much, I shall keep an eye out for it! How are you holding up?

Does anyone know if they will still have ceremonies the day after Thanksgiving? It looks like that maybe the week that my son will graduate. Dont know for sure, but looks like it.
