FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I finally got a call from my son. only had a couple minutes, but it was great to hear his voice.

If everythning goes as planned, he will be an Aviation Stuctural Mechanic. He will be going ot Pensicola for A school. Not sure if he'll be coming home after BC or be a grad & go. Was your sin a grad & go? did you get any time with him after PIR?

Hi Pat, His PIR will be March 11th. we're looking forward to it and just booked out trip to Chicago.  I love the snow and even i've had enough. :)

more snow again!!. the kids won't need to transition to Chicago weather, we have it here lately...  Anyone have a recruit in BC at the moment?

he will be in S. Carolina for 18/24 months, then possibly Groton Ct for 12 weeks for welding school and then into the fleet.  we are hoping his choices are all  East Coast Ports - but time will tell.

Boy did this week go fast, my Family left yesterday to drive my son to A school in S. Carolina, it was a long 27 hrs, but they did arrive safely.  onto our next journey.
