Jeanne, we still dont have cable :). I like my NBC & CBS.
Maybe thats why our sailors arent to into the electronic stuff, it can waste alot of a persons time.

Jeanne & friends - in our house we never had atari, ninetnedo, ps, wii anything so I think thats probably why neither one of my kids are gamers and aren't even interested, we did soccer, baseball, cheerleading (not Steven - my daughter:) ), etc. my kids probably have the same setup as Jeannes Zach, computer for fb & school only.
Dans mom - cute story, brightenend my day, I remember the good old arcades! The only game I ever played was PacMan - they had one at our PizzaHut back in the 70's.
too funny!

Dan's mom... I feel the same way about the games when my husband plays MW2 with is friends and brother on Playstation 3. we recently moved to goose creek, and life as we knew it got left in california. i'm just glad he can still "hang out" with that part of his life even when we are so far away.

I'm smiling as I read the WOW and games comments. Not only military wives/gf's are ignored while the boys play; it's an epidemic in the rest of society as well. I remember feeling neglected because my husband played golf for hours on end during what could have been family time. Boys will be boys... :)

Hi all I moved to South Carolina about a month ago. I joined this group trying to meet some fellow wives.

I remember the "Family Planning" briefing the most... He got back to the barracks that night and was pretty proud to tell me that the Navy had given him condoms. :)

Or the driving one... They scared him to death with the texting while driving video!

P.S. Here's the comment that girl left about that free WoW game...

Girls, just be sure your boys don't find out about LOL (League of Legands) its similar to WOW, except it's pretty much free. My husband gets home, gets on LOL, and when he gets in the "zone" there is no getting him off until he absolutely has to go to bed. As for WOW it's so bad around base that one of his friends got an instructor to waist pretty much an entire class talking about WOW.

Watch out ladies! haha.

Are there really briefings!?!? I know Aaron plays until 5 am some nights! I'd like to know. I'll have to ask him (too bad lunch break just ended). I told him he's not allowed to play "Starfield" I couldn't remember what it was actually called. He text me back when he got back to his room at lunch and told me "And it's Starcraft ;)" My response: "OH NO! You already know about it!?!?" He promised me he wouldn't play those two games... Who knows what game he'll find next!
