I don't know how the housing is on base, but I do know that it would be better for him to be on base. He will have to do extra study hours at night, possibly sometimes in the morning, and if he is on base all he has to do is walk.

Hi Ladies! My husband's PIR was on 5/21 and he just got to Goose Creek on Tuesday! He's going to be an EM and now we're just waiting for him to come get me! He said he should have more information today so I'm hoping to hear from him. He would like to live on base because of how much easier it would be for him, but I'm a little concerned. I've lived in apartments for a long time and I'm nervous about sharing walls with other people again. Is it relatively quiet? I'm so scared of being placed next to a noisy neighbor!

Yah sorry Tricia would know better. I half listen to Matt anyway ;-)

From what Ive gathered, it's an additional 4 years (10 year total) commitment for the officer program but from what i've heard the living quarters and pretty much everything else is SO much better if he's looking to be career navy :)

that could be wrong, matt just said that in passing last month.

Oooh the wonderful uncertainty that is the Navy......it's always a wait and see game! Thanks guys :)

I was wondering what the T stood for too. Good to know.

What does T-Track mean? :-)

and don't forget about the pipeline back ups! gotta love it...
Comment by Ashia on May 26, 2010 at 5:48pm
Courtney, it really mostly depends on space and how long it takes to get clearance. My husband was on T-Track and literally had a 24 hour notice for when he was to start. It really is a case by case situation.
