For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My husband left for boot camp June 27th and graduate Aug 30th he will also be an MM and his A school is in great lakes and its for another 8 weeks so if he is leaving in September you prob wont be able to get married in November unless you do during his liberty weekend right after graduation but i dont know if that is allowed I would check and see im sure you could go to a court house as long as it is with int the 50 mile radius of great lakes navel accademy.

Hi! My husband leaves for RTC on Sept 10th and he is also an mm. From what his recruiters, my husband and my navy veteran bff tell me, they are going to be in Great Lakes, from boot to school.

My son is an MM non nuke. His school was right there in GL. If they don't go on to C school for any other training, they get orders to the fleet. My son is in Japan on the USS George Washington. Got about 20 days leave in between school and leaving for Japan - never enough. If he's going to be an MM for subs, his school will be in Groton.

Do you know waht other choices they have for there orders for fleet my husband graduates fromBC on AUg 30th and then has A school for an MM in great lakes for 8 weeks and I ahve herd Japan is whre alot go are there other options or no bc i will be going with since we are married and ahve a 8 month old together japan wud be agreat experince i was just wondering if you knew what ohter options they had for MM if he was told or not.
