The theme for this packing party is PANCAKE BREAKFAST,

Our job will be to put together boxes with pancake mix and syrups for the patients of Dwyer hospital to enjoy .The mix must be the one that only needs water added , as being a field hospital they won't have access to oil or eggs readily .Any flavor of mix or syrup will be great , and remember the syrup should be in plastic bottle , medium size is a good fit for the boxes too.

If you are unable to get bring mix or syrup along please be sure to bring a few hand written cards of well wishes and encouragement to our troops . Just a few words that someone cares goes such a very long way with morale ... We all want someone to care about us , whoever we are .......

Looking forward to making this a fun packing party !

Please look at Special Hugs on MAS to learn more about Dwyer ,if you are not familiar with it .

Super Sheryl!  I will be there.  I'm also willing to drive if anyone wants to carpool. I will let you know what I am bringing for brunch & what I find in the way of mixes and syrups.  I know Special Hugs did this for a different hospital once before and it was such a hit with the patients -- and not to heavy on sick tummies!

Hi Sheryl,

I got 2 email messages:  Anne Marie is coming.  She will be bringing a cold tortolini salad for our brunch plus pancake mix and syrup.

Denise is a maybe.  She will let me know this week-end since we may drive up together.

Hearing about all sorts of yummy mixes!  I plan to go shopping a little later so I can look for something different.  One thing I hope to find AND be able to afford is some real maple syrup.  You know the kind we make here in New England?  I can't just get a little bottle or one of those cans, wonder if they have medium size containers??  I'll know after I go and check out the prices in the stores and shops around here ... ;-)

Hi Proud I'm catching you all over the place can't you tell my mind is so scattered this morning . Skypeing with Italy too I will stop complaining about gas prices . he has to pay $10 a gallon ouch .
Anyways I think I fixed things and am going to try KIMBALLS here in west ford for syrup you don't get if you don't ask is my motto lately :)

Sheryl, you can add Johanna to your list of Moms coming.

Oh yes, Moms don't forget to bring a picture of your sailor to show off!!!  :)

1 can peach pie filling

1 1lb bag mini marshmallows

1 btl Orange Creme topping

3 btls maple syrup

1 bg fruit & nut toppings

1 bg mixed fruit toppings

2 bxs blueberry pancake mix
