It was a small graduation, but I went for his when he graduated. It is pretty simple but they get to introduce you and show who came, its really sweet. And I think it makes them feel good to have someone come, if it isn't too much of a hassle to get there. I thought it was pretty cool getting to see them and they show some of their work and this grad video they make with everyone in it. And a lot of the other sailors go so you get to meet them and can get some pictures and I am really glad I went.

and if you do go, the other sailors in his class are pretty cool. I would have gone to the last one and this one if I was still in DC

Looks like my sailor got Norfolk! joining up with fleet combat camera. We dont know much about the job its looking pretty classifyed. Just proves MC's are doing it all!

Anyone ever attend the graduation? I only live about 2 hours away and wanted to go but my husband says its small and not worth it, but this is coming from a guy who says graduation at college isn't worth attending either. So im asking for another opinion lol

Hey ladies does anyone know anything about Combat Camera, its a C school for mass communications. My sailor was just "asked" rather told to take the test, it has something to do with diving or at least that was what he was told. We have been googleing the heck outta it to find some kind of info but its a high deman low numbered rating (even smalled than MC!) Wondering if any of your sailor went through it and could share some tidbits about where and how long C school is. If you have any info on the NECC too that would be wonderful

I'm planning to visit my boyfriend in A school at Ft. Meade in 4-5 weeks (depending on what weekend he will have liberty or duty).  Any advice on visiting Ft. Meade? Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the group and to the navy life, my boyfriend left for basics 11 days ago. He's an MC and I was wondering if the deployments are very long? I know they have to do a certain amount of shore duty and ship duty, but is ship duty counted as a deployment? We are probably getting married after he graduates from A-school and I'm wondering if I can move in with him, even if he's assigned shore duty first? Any info would help!

definitly give him his laptop and cell phone at the airport, he can text you regurlarly after school everyday =]. Also travagent my boyfriend only took about a month to get overnights, it may be different for your daughter but he did phase up pretty fast and so did the rest of his class.
