Hi All! I'm new to the site and am here to get used to military life. My boyfriend is currently deployed and its my first time having to go through not having him to talk to every day. His title is MC so I figured I'd join this group to talk to others who have a loved on who is an MC =)

Thanks for the info Allashandra and Kac46047. I think we are going to wait until late May or early June to go. I got to talk to my daughter through Facebook yesterday, she should have her phone today. She sounded excited to be there and commented on how nice everyone is. I cant wait for her to call today.

Thanks for the welcome :)
sounds like some of the new bc grads got to go to DC for a retirement ceremony today. Our son called and was pretty excited about it. He's ready for school to start though I think. The kid who could sit for hoursdoing nothing is now ready to get moving!
not sure if we will head outthere or not. Time will tell I guess.

My daughter just graduated boot camp on 2/18 and left this morning for Ft Meade. I cant wait for her to get settled so I can start planning a trip out to see her. Is anyone else planning on going out to see their Sailor?

My son Ben has been at Fort Meade since September. I'm sure if someone has any questions they could ask him. He has been academically recycled for about 5 weeks and starts back to classes this Wednesday. Academically recycled means he has to wait to start classes, where he failed in the last class, to start classes with the class at the place he left off at. It's been busy for him getting recruits settled in from BC, but ready to start class.

It looks like this discussion group is pretty quiet.  Is anyone out there? :)

My son just graduated BC on the 18th and got to his A school.  Will be interesting to see how this phase goes.
