Hi Kim - this sounds like so much fun!  I have passed the info on to my veteran son and his veteran GF.  She lives in Lansing and my son is moving there from VA next week.  They said they might be interested in going.  I'll keep you updated.  Thanks for putting this together ;-D

Hi Kim,

If we got a group together would it be open to other branches as well?  I am part of a Blue Star Moms group in Branch Co and they may be interested in going as well.

I’m hoping to get all branches involved. I will also ask my own BSM chapter(188)

Not sure how far everyone is from Grand Rapids, but we have an Honor Flight on Tuesday the 22nd. If you’ve never experienced one.....it’s amazing. Homecoming expected around 8:30 pm at GR Ford airport. All are welcome.

Hi Kim - so my son and his gf will be going to the game on July 20th.  Do you know if they can get discounted tickets since they are veterans?  I told them about the Navy moms going and I asked them to be sure to say hi to everyone for me (and hopefully get a picture!).  I'll text you too.  Thanks!

I checked with the stadium and tickets for veterans are only $5! Even better ;-D

Awesome!  So far the Facebook people who were in touch with the Lugnuts are silent!  I haven't heard anything more about how to get tickets or if the moms are holding the flag yet.  I hope to get more info soon...

I requested to join one of the MI facebook pages - hopefully they'll approve me even though B is out of the Navy now!  B and his GF are planning on going to the game ;-D

Ok Moms.....anyone going to the Lansing Lugnuts game on Friday, to honor Armed Forces Appreciation?Trying to get a headcount for reserves seating.

We will be on the field for the National Anthem!!!

My son and his GF have confirmed that they will be going but they are going to buy the $5 veteran tickets.....they do want to come say hi to all of you (and hopefully take a picture) so once you know the section please let me know!  I sure wish I was in MI to be able to join you.

I hope you all have fun at the game tonight!  Hopefully it doesn't get rained out.  B and his GF will be there and I've asked them to get a group picture so hopefully they do ;-D

It sounds like you all had fun at the game and didn't get rained out!  Sorry that B & his GF didn't meet up with any of you but they did go and they had fun.  Even got a voucher for a free meal at the game as veterans.
