I'm getting ready to go soon. I plan to stop at Birch Run first (around 11:30).
Ladies, I hate to do this, but I will NOT be able to come after all. My boyfriend's daughter and granddaughter will be coming to live with us for a while, and Saturday is when they are moving in. Next time we do a more "northern" meet & greet, let me know. Maybe next time it can be somewhere like Gaylord/Grayling? Perhaps those of us north of Saginaw Bay would find that easier to attend? just a thought. I'll be thinking of you all on Saturday afternoon. Enjoy the food and the surroundings, but mostly have a great time together!
Sorry you won't be able to come. Why don't you throw out a date and place for Grayling and see how many bites you get? That's a 3 1/2 hour drive for me but I love it up there.
We did have a great time. Thanks so much for suggesting DaVinci's. I think a Grayling meetup would be great!
Lorraine, it was a pleasure to suggest someplace a little less "tourist-y" for the meetup. DaVinci's was a place my ex-husband used to work at, and it was always a decent place for food and quiet conversation. I'm so glad it worked out for you all.
As for suggesting a date/place for a more "northern" location, I'll get on that , perhaps soon. It would be good to do it before September when my classes start again, and life makes it too hectic to coordinate. Hoping to meet you all soon.
Is West Branch north enough for you? Colleen suggested her cabin.
Is it too late to sign up for the Frankenmuth meetup? Both of our identical twin sons are in the Navy now. They've had some interesting "spottings" amongst their respective bases:) Too funny!
Not too late. Come if you can. Would love to meet you.
Just stay tuned cmcninch. The Grand Rapids group tries to get together every few months. Join us on the regular wall and post so we can get to know you.
