I am looking to connect with moms in mid-michigan or higher in the state. I live near Bay City & getting ready for round 2 of bootcamp. One son went in Dec 2010 and another leaves May 9th, 2012

I am nervous, excited, sad and very ready for him to leave all at the same-time depending on attitudes and other happenings.. hahah

However with this being the 2nd time thru bootcamp as well as this site, I feel more confident in how I will handle things.

Please drop me a note. I am a very social person & talking with other military Mom's really helps..

I live in central, southern Michigan, but just travelled two hours to Rockford (north of GR) to join other Navy moms for a get together. There are some moms around Lansing and Detroit. Would love to have you join us for the next meet up. Someone's working on one near Jackson and we've had one in Lansing. Feel free to post in the regular group and join in on our daily banter.

Are both sons going to be Navy? We have moms on the site who have Navy and other branches of the military too. My son is a nuke MM on a submarine, based in Groton CT. Join in and have fun with us!

Hi, i am a mother of a daughter who is in DEP until August 29, 2012. We live in Marlette, Michigan. I would love to connect with you and listen to your stories and learn from your experiences. You are so fortunate to have more than one. This is my only child. I have alot of questions i am sure you could answer for us. Thank you so much for being here.

Are you still with us jenjabear? Feel free to comment in the regular discussion section. We're all here to help.

Hello, I live in a small village 20 miles SW of Lansing.  My son went to Boot Camp February 13, 2012, and his PIR is April 13th.  I can't wait to see him graduate.  After graduation he will go to Pensacola for A School - rescue swimmer.

Hi,

I'm new to this site and new to N4M. I'm from Detroit and I am looking for some help navigating the whole boot camp experience. Just trying to figure out what comes next? Would love to connect with others who have gone thru the experience and those who are going thru the experience now.

Hi! I live in Jackson and my son is assigned to a boat in Norfolk,VA. He is trying to get moved to dive school..if that doesn't work out,he will go underway to foreign ports in a month or two. Lack of communication happens, but I get a text now and again, and he plays xbox live with his little brother when he is off duty sometimes :-) He has been enlisted for a year now..I miss him bunches! Always praying for him!

Hey there it is nice to find some others with more then one serving.. My middle daughter is a Marine just finishing up with

her MOS School. My youngest just joined the Navy.. Already being through it once has really helped me to have a better

grip on things. I cant say it helps with them being gone..but it is nice to have others to chat with. I am from around the Grand

Rapids area and hoping to be able to meet up with others from my area..

Hello, I just found this post and I am from the Midland area...Edenville so not that far away...My son Kyle left Aug 2,2012 and I have not heard a word or letter as of yet.  He is in Ship 13/Div 313...as I am not real sure what that really means...LOL

I have read that his brother division is 314 again not what that means....I am not sure he will write, but I have been writing short letters and numbering them...it is hard to write him not knowing what he is going through ...so any incite would be great as you have done this already......

hope to hear back from you,

take care,

Jo
