Will be mailing out 121 cards and letters to the GW this week, about 109 of them letters from school kids. So funny what they write!!
Hi, is it too late to participate?
Please participate!  We needs tons more cards and letters!  Go to the We ship Love page for the addy/
I went to one of my favorite places - Hallmark's, because I love the notepaper and especially the 99 cent cards.  I usually get the "thinking of you for kids" ones because the messages are usually more fun.  Today I was in getting my "fix" of cards & the woman says how nice it is to see me again!  I told her about our mission to send a flood of cards and notes to the GW.  She was interested so I asked her about putting up a poster/sign and asking people to send a note of thanks to our sailors.  I pointed out how it could be a win-win situation -- they sell more cards and notepaper and we get more notes for our sailors.  She jumped at the chance!  So I went down the road 8-10 miles and asked another Hallmark manager.  He is a vet and his son is in the Navy.  He can't wait to help us out AND he has a 2nd shop in RI.  All they both needed was a letter of request explaining what we were about and how people could help.  They will be the drop-off point so I don't have to give out the name addy of our POC to John Q. Public.  The man who is a vet has offered to pay for shipping any mail that is returned to his store.  Thought some one else might want to give this a try.
Just proving that most folks would love to support the troops they just need a way to do so!!
So true!
That's fantastic NYPD!
AWESOME NYPD!!!! That would be great to get other Hallmark's involved! Great idea, my lady!!!
Thank you.  I just thought I'd post it because everyone has a Hallmark's, right??
Didn't realize it was school vacation week here in MA!  Planning to go to the middle school on Monday.
I have about 150 cards and letters to send!  I was going to send them a couple of weeks ago, but more and more kept showing up at my desk!  Carol, I am sending them to "Zachary" ~ if that is still ok!
Yes, please send them to our point of contact person!  Thanks.
