Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!
From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.
If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!
Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!! You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

You may have heard about the sailor in Washington State that had a motorcycle accident two weeks ago... he has had two surgeries to repair damage to his 14th vertabrae and is now a paraplegic. He was transferred to the VA hospital in Seattle for long term healing and physical therapy last Thursday... He will be there a couple of months. It has been my honor to be able to go and visit him a couple of times a week.
I originally offered my address for people to send cards as we knew he would be moved from the first hospital... He has received several cards and even a pillowcase from Sue! The family is so amazed that there are moms out there that have never met the family or the sailor and still reach out with amazing navy mom love! They had never heard of Navy 4 moms and now talk about it all the time!
So please do include him... he is going to need the love and support for some time to come... His dad has ok'd us sharing his info... here is the link to his site and his mailing address

Wouldn't it be nice if when someone came to visit Ross, he could hand them two $5 Starbuck's cards (I am pretty sure they have them everywhere - it is Seattle!!) and he could tell his visitor, "Thanks, for coming to see me - want to go get us something to drink?" I am going to put one in my first card for sure.
Mainly, we want cards and messages sent to these people - but this one has a long road of rehabilitation. -

I'm going to go to my mail center (He sells all cards for fifty cents each ~) AND STOCK UP!!!
When I read the heartbreak of each of these stories, a card can seem so minimal - but the "love" the receiver knows that is behind it is priceless!! -

Brenda, there is such a need to organise military families in pain. I remember a couple of times last year that moms swooped down and helped lift up other moms in need. NFM has become so large it is easy to get lost. Wonderful idea to directed them here. Also, there is another group, called Sailors Rescue List, which list moms willing to help a sailor locally from each state who may be stranded or in trouble. They have NFM moms that will visit in the hospital until the biological mom or dad can get there. Just need to decide who does what. So many recent accidents and deaths and illness, that this is good to have this is place. THanks Brenda

Also, I have been stocking up on the 44 cent cards at walmart. Have been taking my cards up to church before mailing them, and praying for the person who the card is addressed to. So, even though I have done many with other people, you know it will continue with those listed here.

Wow - GREAT idea. I may even have a few church members sign a few cards for me in advance. A good way to pull more people in on this!!

I would like to include family. A Marine in my hometown came home on July 4th to surprise his mother. He was invited to a party of friends from his football highschool. A few people tried to crash the party and a fight broke out. He was shot in the head trying to break up a fight and died. His mother had already lost another son, and this was her last child.
