Moms/Dads/Families with Nukes in Ballston Spa, NY

Wanted to start a group for moms, dads, and other family members that have Nukes currently attending Prototype in Ballston Spa, NY.

Members: 169

Thought I would start a group for the families of sailors stationed in NY for Prototype. It will be nice to chat about what is going on with our sailors whether it is good or bad so that we can support each other. I have connected with many people on this site but it is always nice to meet others that are going through the same things together. Also if you have had a sailor in NY for an extended amount of time then you can help the new ones just coming in on what to expect.

PattiP,
Congrats! What a great way to start the weekend!

It's okay to check in on them. I usually preface my call or text with telling him I'm being supportive. He still gets annoyed. He just bought a truck in New York and was worried about how he was going to get the registration done since he is in Prototype 7 AM to 7 PM weekdays. I told him I could fly out for a couple of days and help out. His response was, "Mom! I can't be distracted right now!" Lol! I guess he told me.

PattiP - thinking of you today as your son takes his orals!

Sailor texted me a picture this morning of one of his roommates cars covered in snow!  HaHa - better him than me!!!  We are still in the 80's but unfortunately the fire danger continues.  There is a fire burning in the San Gabriel Mountains (near Los Angeles) and it is out of control - the Santa Ana winds are not helping :(

Beside myself with gratitude and pride. Just learned my sailor is Nuke Qualified - passed his oral boards this morning. Praise the Lord!  On to graduation - BS, here we come!

ktrsb - I would like one too - as long as it isn't specific to a graduating class.

Gonna have to wait until I see the bill to figure out a price. Well under $50 is as safe a bet as I want to place.
