Thought I would start a group for the families of sailors stationed in NY for Prototype. It will be nice to chat about what is going on with our sailors whether it is good or bad so that we can support each other. I have connected with many people on this site but it is always nice to meet others that are going through the same things together. Also if you have had a sailor in NY for an extended amount of time then you can help the new ones just coming in on what to expect.

Alison, all I have heard is that he detatches from prototype on 28 September and will be headed home on leave before he goes to Georgia.
BlueRockSailorMom, it sounds like they are in the same class. Have you heard anything about a graduation date?
Allison, sounds like your son and mine are on the same schedule. He passed his 100% test a couple weeks ago and his headed to Georgia to the USS Rhode Island.
Hi PattiP, My son is supposed to graduate this month but I don't have a date either. Hard to make travel plans. He passed his 100% test a couple of weeks ago and got his orders. He will be going to the USS Georgia.
Does any body have a new date for the graduation? It has moved according to my son and last we spoke he still did not know when...I have to give up getting to go for the graduation. And now he has orders to Conn, anybody else?
PattiP,
I believe my son may be in the house with your son, do they have a basement room? That is where my son is living with 3 other guys, none of them have the same group though so they come in go in different shifts and different plants.
Eppidoo..My son will be leaving prototype at he send of September. Maybe he can hook your Sailor up in his apartment. It's in Glenville. I sent you a friend request.
Mine is also MM, Nancy Jo. You should private message me with your son's last name and I'll ask mine if he knows yours.
Oh, I see. He is MM. Yours?
