Msvines, yep, he's waiting for school to start but he's kept busy. They have PT two times per day and also have scheduled watches. He is ready to go! :o)

Msvines, there's another group "Search and Rescue." It has a discussion "The Road" which details this process of rescue swimmer. My son's PIR was Sept 3 and he's in Pensacola waiting for school to start.

Hi Ladies, I made it back yesterday from San Diego. What a great time we had. The graduation was wonderful and they all received their wings!! It was so good to see my son. I love spending time with him. Missing him terribly today, but am grateful for the time we spent together.

Chris, I had such a wonderful time with Greg and Jill....what a cute couple they are. And what an handsome and intelligent young man you have. My husband and I had such a great time with them. We all went to the beach after the graduation and had a cook out. Friday evening we all went to a dueling piano bar and had a blast there! I really enjoyed hanging out with Shawn, Greg, Jill and Matt. It was great putting faces to the names. I have some pictures and Greg & Jill had someone they know taking pictures also. But I did manage to get the whole graduation on video. Chris if you will email me privately your regular mailing address I will be sure to send you a DVD copy, so you can see the whole ceremony.

Everyone...Finally !! He is confirmed to graduate on the 8th....he is NATOPS certified and I believe he will get his wings afterall! It all finally worked out and now I'm exhausted from making all the arrangements to get there. It sure has been a long and winding road.....but now I'm so excited and I can't wait.

Chris- I'll be sure to take lots of pictures...of Greg's pinning.

Thank you to all of you for your words of encouragement during this harrowing adventure of Navy life and all their changes. And thank you to all for your well wishes and congratulations....I'll be sure to pass them on to Shawn and Greg and the rest of the graduating class. Whew!! Almost there.

Yeah I heard of it....just can't believe they can't pick a date and stick to it! Anyways it should be fine. As it stands now I am buying tix today to leave TN on the 7th. If they change it to the 9th we will already be there. Shawn didn't say that he got his orders yet...wonder where he'll be going??? All of these changes has kinda sucked the fun out of it....I am still excited to see my son and meet yours Chris.

Chris....no worries, I'd be more than happy to take pictures of Jill pinning on his wings! I also know that Shawn's roommate's family had already made plans to come for the graduation that was supposed to be on the 2nd....so they are still coming that weekend and now the graduation has been moved to the 9th and now he won't have family there now that the date changed. I will try to get pictures of all and maybe take video of the ceremony. I can't wait to see my son! I'm very glad that things are turning out this way! Hopefully there won't be anymore changes. ; )
