Thank you, Darsete, for the welcome. I have belonged to Navy Moms for several years, but now I am moving into another category. Jeremy is also on shore duty, and he is happy to be home with his family. I can also visit him more now. I live in Chicago, Il, so I can't get to Georgia as much as I would like, but at least, I can call him and hear his voice. I look forward to being part of this group.

Hello, I am a new Senior Chief' s Mom, and so I wanted to join this group.  My son was  made a Senior Chief at the end of June.  I am so very proud of him.  He is at Kings Bay and on shore duty at the moment.

Congrats Judy that is wonderful. My chief and daughter in law got back from Italy safely and are now in Maryland. They have onlt been there 2 weeks so they are still finding their way around. They seem to like it but there is just a small problem. Seems that they won't be able to get into housing until sometime in May so they are in the Navy Lodge which is ok but she is due to have a baby in 3 weeks and will have to take the baby back to the hotel. I am alittle upset that mt new grand daughter will have to start her life there but I guess there is nothing anyone can do.

Jean Hi, Yes grandbabies are the best. I just have 2 right now and boy 3 and girl 19 months and I just love them to death. It is cooling off down here finally. I didn,t think we would ever be out of the 90's. Steven has been transfered to Maryland so at least its closer if I want to drive up to see the new baby when it arrives sometime in April. How long has your son been in Karen
