Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hi there:
I'm so glad to talk to someone that is in the same position that I am. I haven't heard from Julia since which I think will be the hardest part. Whenever they are away they have phones and computers to keep in touch with but this is so different. I think it's safer to chat on google talk if you have that, my sign on is maggizzle35 or Yahoo is mek4465. I would love to chat though. I'm cleaning her room and putting her stuff up. I told her before she left that her room was mine. Talk to you soon.

My daughter just graduated from GL yesterday. PIR was amazing and getting to hug her and spend time with her has been indescribable. Well worth the wait. She looks wonderful and said she knows she made the right decision joining the Navy. Her shipmates are great and she has some really close friends. I know the first few weeks after they leave for BC are hard. Bond with other moms in your PIR group and hang in there. Support eachother. It gets easier once you can send and receive mail. And that first real phone call is wonderful.

I'm so happy for you. I know she is doing the best thing for her and will do great. I'm just having a hard time not hearing anything yet and every one else has their div and ship and I don't have any thing yet. I'm trying to get acquainted with some moms whose girls left the same time. I'm sure I will it will just take a little more time.

My daughter entered BC just a few days after your's when is her PIR? I have had 2 phone calls and a few letters, my daughter loves it there, she has volunteered for a few jobs, was Aroc but was stressful so she switched with the Master at arms and feels much better about that job.
