Good Morning everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me. I want to send stuff my daughter for Christmas. Thinking of including xmas lights and maybe a few decorations. She's currently on the ship, but not on deployment yet. I tried sending her something a few weeks back for her birthday and I feel like it traveled all over the US before she received it. It took about 3 weeks for her to get it. Is that about right or did I do something wrong? :/

Hi, 2-3 weeks is the nor for sending packages, even worst at holidays. There are 3 places for the ship's to pickup packages in the US. Then once on the ship, more sorting. But they try to work fast to ensure sailors get their packages before Christmas. You might want to send it VERY SOON. The work slows down that first week of leave. Last year my daughters package was sent to Japan and she was in the states. I thank the Lord for the honest sailor who received her package and sent it to her. My post office had 2 shipping slips on 1 package. When I sent her a package last month I told them what had happened last year and reminded them about my big fuss. The lady even took the time to put it through customs right then and there. It got to her within a week and a half, super fast compared to all the other times, lol. My suggestion, ask the post office to complete the customs paper work while you wait, you can even track the package, I always do. Hope this helps :)
Thank you so much ladies. I was thinking that maybe I did something wrong. Omg Rosliesmom that was nice. You know we send them these packages with so much love and I'm sure I'm not the only who tears away while doing them. My aim is to send it out tomorrow, I've was hoping to get a phone call from her saying mom we've docked. If I keep waiting it'll be to late. :/
