Yes, wrote a letter today. And another one tomorrow. Hoping she gets to call this weekend, or soon. Just really want her to know she's supported, and to be encouraged too.
I actually took half the day off of work, and spent time with my husband. It was nice :)

Fortunately, she will get counseling while she's there... about 3 weeks. She said she's sorry for disappointing us, and that just broke my heart. I tried telling her she could never disappoint us (especially in this), but could only talk for a couple of minutes.

I thought getting the injured call was hard... last night, got the "I'm being separated" call. No words can even express the roller coaster of emotion. :( I'm still in disbelief. She said it's because of having PTSD, due to an emotional event when she was young she never fully recovered from... which has caused her to be stressed and depressed. And I'm sure being injured only adds to this...

Praying for the Navy mom!

I have been out of touch for a bit here. Esti'sMom, I hope your daughter heals quickly!  Wow Blondie, your girl is no quitter! Kudos to her!

MoparMom - I went through the same with my daughter. She was initially in a push division and when she got ASMO'd they put her in a regular division so the 2 week training set back equaled 3 week set back in her PIR.  It was really tough going from 2 weeks left to 5... but she made it through! Your daughter can too! Keep encouraging her to keep her chin up and focus on her end goal! I'll say a prayer for you both too, I know how stressful it was!

And thank you for the prayers for our fellow Navy Mom!!  I will keep you posted as I hear the updates!!!

Hello again!!!

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile, we were in a campground for several days with no internet!!!  I have a lot to catch up on so bear with me!!!  Hubby and I also celebrated my birthday while in this dead zone - I sat in a small local restaurant having my birthday dinner while trying to read all my birthday greetings on facebook!!!!!  Anyhow - - -

MoparMom,

So sorry your daughter has had this set back.  I understand how frustrating that can be.  You have to continue to be encouraging to her, as I’m sure this is so disappointing for her as well.  I would just try to find the silver lining in this and try to stay positive for you and her!!  Blessings to you both!!!! And yes, it is a roller coaster for sure!!!!

Esti’s Mom,

Hope your daughter continues to heal completely and quickly!!  I’ve had stress fractures myself and they can hurt!!!!

ncdeb,

There is nothing wrong with being prepared!!!  It seems many of our girls suffer from this problem and I’m sure it’s because of the boots they have to wear!!!  They ought to supply boots to the deppers to get used to them before they have to go to boot!!!!

Blessed2beme,

Wow, sure glad your girl made it through bootcamp and is now healing.  Hope all continues well for her!!!
