OK Pat,
Sounds good to me!!!

NavyMom,
Who's going to catch your bug next??!! I don't have any closets to worry about. Moving as much as I've had the last few years I got rid of so much stuff then. Including almost all of my furniture. I literally have a couch, a kitchen table, a bed, and a dresser. The rest of the pieces are small bookshelves and tv stands from WalMart!!!!
Now I do still have a few boxes of stuff to process through so I do need to get motivated on that!!!

Awww Pat,
You got your closets done - I didn't get a chance to get there!!!! Now how am I going to spend time on the beach???
By the way - still need to know what pearl harbor drinks are and how they are made!!!

Blondie, you and your family have been in my prayers. I know that this is a difficult time.

Around here, many times they don't bury someone until warmer weather. I would think that would be more difficult. Now when my father in law passed away, the funeral director asked if we would mind if he used his SUV for the casket because otherwise he would never get up the drive to the cemetery. Even so, they thought for a while they might have to swing the casket from the truck that delivered the vault.

Pat, Jenn does continue to be in my prayers. I think not knowing what is going on is so difficult.

Our temperature is about 4 above but it feels cold. I think the wind off the bay makes it more bitter.

Blondie,
Definately keeping you and your family in my prayers today!!! I remember the day we buried my Mom in mid May - it was really cold and windy that day - unusual even for Ohio. We knew it was because our family lost one very special, warm and sunny person!!!!!

Pat,
We are doing fine here. Kinda bummed because we were supposed to meet up with some friends we met here and have dinner. Now we're stuck indoors - law enforcement is telling everyone to stay off the roads. Not as bad as they were expecting especially with ice taking down trees and power lines but it is still coming down. One of my other N4M friends has a son over in Korea and he was coming home for leave. I was so worried him flying home before the storm hit. He make it in last night and on the news this morning they said the airport in Raleigh was cancelling all flights in and out. I'm so glad he made it!!!

Wade,
I used to live in Augusta for 11 years. Your winters there are very mild but it got to where I couldn't handle those scorching summers!!! We moved to northeastern Ohio and the first winter there I thought I was going to die!!!! It was a real shock to get used to that cold and tons of snow!!! NC is a nice happy middle but this is not a permanent stay for hubby and I so who knows where we'll go next!!!!

Joanne,
Are you staying indoors in front of a roaring fire with a good book to read???

Have a great day everyone!!! Enjoy your weekend and Blessings to all our sailors everywhere!!!!

Pat,
Do they think this poison is going to cure?? Now what is a pearl harbor drink? Sounds interesting. I'm sipping my wine watching snow come down here in NC!!!

Joanne,
Pat commented 6 hours ago - it's still on this page - "weaning her off steroids and on to kemo medicine"

Boy, I typed up my comments some time ago but for some reason they didn't go through until later. I start reading from my comments forward and realize I'm missing a bunch of stuff. Had to go back and read a half a page of other comments that weren't there when I wrote mine!!! How strange!!
Blondie,
Sorry this will probably post after you've left for the weekend but I am keeping you in my prayers. Do take care of yourself

Pat,
Sorry Jenn is still not getting what she needs to get healed!!! What is the chemo treatment for? Please tell her we are still thinking about her and saying prayers for her.

Joanne,
I think this is a good night to stay in and drink wine - how's that sound to you?

Wade,
That is such a wonderful story about the ladybug and your mom. I will tell that to my dil!!! Just before my daughter left for bc her and her twin sister and I all booked appointments at an Aveda training salon. There prices are much lower because it is a teaching salon but well supervised by experienced stylists. We had pedicures and massages and then went to a tearoom for lunch. It was very special and we told people why we were celebrating so Catherine gots lots of well wishes and prayers for her safety!!!

Blondie,
The little suitcase and backpack are so my dil can pack up the baby's stuff in her own little bag. They go to visit family and such so now the baby has her own little bag. And the packback makes a perfect small diaper bag when Amanda doesn't want to bother carrying around a big one!!! But most of all - - - it looks like a ladybug and Amanda loves it!!!

NavyMom,
Now that is COLD!!! I have another N4M friend that lives in Montana and she talks about cold temps like that!!! We are expecting this winter storm to hit NC and they are calling for a bunch of snow in VA about 3 hours north of us and we are supposed to get snow and ice through our area. I just hope we don't loose power! Everything here is electrical so there would be no heat!!! But we're preparing by filling up some bottles with water and food items that don't require cooking or heating! That, and I'm just going to stay in and watch!!!! Hubby says we can snuggle under the covers!!!!!

Sunny, cold but beautiful here today. We got about 2 inches of snow last night.

Wade, I think it is wonderful to remember your mother with ladybugs.
