We have moms hurting here today and it breaks my heart.
Raineegle,
I am so sorry for Shai. I haven't seen a recent post from you - did you get word back and are they treating her now?

Pat,
I am so, so sorry your beautiful, brave daughter is being put through so much. I'm praying she has a restful weekend and the pain goes away quickly. My God, I can't imagine 6 needle stabs in the back in one week. I wish there was a way to send you there just to be with her!!!!

I hope everyone is doing ok. It has been a busy, busy day and I am just now getting to my computer to check in with everyone at 10:30!! And I have to work tomorrow also - got a part time job - I need some money!!!!
Will try to check in with everyone a little earlier tomorrow.
Blessings to all you wonderful moms and grandmom!!!!

Oh, Pat, I can totally sympathsize with your feelings. She is definitely hurting. There is little you can do to help. The mother instinct makes you want to "make it all well." No one should have to go through these things!

Pat, to stick, stick and stick like that is totally wrong! I hope that they did get what they needed for the test! Have they given painkillers to help her now.

OH my gosh Pat. What can any of us do. Please let me know. Just about an hour and a half away. With all that, did they actually get the fluid that they needed or did they mess up on alll 3 again? Lets us know.
Have to go I will be back later. I have a softball game in an hour.

Ok, We are supposed to be getting a cold front. Temp should go all the way down to 70 degrees. When it hits 65 it is definately stew weather. Yes, the Angels are from Anaheim ( they made the playoffs) and we are absolutely not from Los Angeles!!! Sorry no insult, just a sore spot.
Glad to see you back DC. Hope your visit went well. I'm all for going out to eat, especially in this weather.

Marianne, Personally I'm with Pat. I would be reluctant to purchase the car. It may be a good deal but it may not be. Who will pay shipping costs? What are potential problems with bringing it back into the US?

Let me see if I can print the cheat sheet as a PDF file.

KR, I love a storm on the plains ... IF ... I have a shelter nearby incase of a tornado.

Oh, Pat, I feel so for your daughter. I have absolutely terrible veins and know what it is like to be stuck many imes. The difference is that my sticking was not into my spine but a vein. I am crying with you. Have Jenn ask ... no insist ... for some happy juice. It will relax her, which might make it easier and it will certainly make it more pain free.

A globe also works well for the geographically challenged. We have one and love it. Now given the political situations in the world it is constantly changing somewhat.

Think I'll get Jack out. While the company was here, I was designated driver. I missed all that lovely wine they were having last night and didn't even sample the cognac!

The weather here has cooled off a lot. Night before last, our bedroom was so chilly that I had to wear a chemo cap to keep warm! I really enjoy sleeping in a cool bedroom but it helps to have hair!

Joanne, one time we went through Chicago on the rain. We had to find a way to entertain a couple of young boys (4-6). We decided that we would go to the Field Museum and took a taxi from the train station to the museum. After we got out and walked up the steps we found out the museum was closed. Now we had little money so we decided to walk to the aquarium ... wrong idea. It was New Yea's Day, bitter cold and it was a very long walk along the lake sore. We only went part way before we hailed a taxi to take us back to the toasty train station!

I'm here! Company left ... :-( These were college buddies. We have been through so much together over the year. They came all the way to Maine and we spent most of the time talking and not sight seeing. We ate out both nights ... YUM and both days for lunch. No one wanted to be bothered cooking.

Now, I need to catch up.
