Stephs Mom they keep them super busy and they only have time to write on Sunday and that's if they don't have watch. It was about 3 weeks before mine called. Don't lose heart. She's fine, you'd know if she wasn't. Keep your cell phone with you as you never know when the call will come. We all know how you feel. When she gets to her A school you'll get to talk to her a lot. Hugs to you.

Hello Everyone,

My daughter for BC 3/21, I received her box that following Thursday. I have yet to hear from her n it's driving me crazy n I'm getting discouraged. I have 2 jobs so I try to keep myself busy all the time but it's when I'm home that I start thinking bout her n hope she's well. I would give anything just to hear her voice. I am goin to her grad in May, but to me that's a long way off to hear from her. I miss her terribly.

Evening everyone.

I don't post much but read all the posts and try to keep up. Tears, laugh, prayers and oh the memories of PIR. Doesn't seem like 5 years since I was there. Welcome to all the new moms. Hope you like roller coaster rides.

5 years and my daughter is getting ready to re-enlist...Not an easy task now days. They wanted me and my husband to stay. Now you have to fight to stay. She won the fight and will reup on April 18th. So proud of her. She will be stationed at the hospital in Guam for 18 months.Gonna miss running to DC for long weekends. But I have to look on the good side, she could have been a marine unit doc and been sent to somewhere much less friendly. Already checking with our cellphone service to see if her phone will work or not. I see $$ coming my way :-) lol

Hope everyone has a good evening. Hang in there.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!  I miss a couple days and lots of good things happening!!

Najul,

How exciting!!  April 15th will be here before you know it!!

Denise and Lucky's mom,

Wow your girls are in the same ship!!!  You will be able to check in on each other and know what's going on with your girls!!!!

JayDee,

I'm hoping by now they have arrived safely.  We had some wicked weather here in Florida the other night and I know it's even worse other places!!  I hope they didn't have any problems with their flight.

I hope that tree misses you and your home!!!  I wouldn't go into that bedroom either!!

Roliesmom,

Wow, one year!!  Congratulations to your daughter!!  And how nice to have a day off.  I hope she was able to catch up on some much needed rest.  I remember when my son was on his first ship for deployment.  He was amazed at the long hours and how tired he was all the time.  Kind of makes you wonder why the Navy would wear out their crew when you would want everyone to be in tip top shape.  But then, that's the momma in me and not the commanding officer!!!!!!

Mysailormeg,

What a beautiful sentiment.  So well said!!  Yes, it's a loss but it's also a growth!!

Happy Sunday.  We made it through the night.  I have two trees that are uprooting.  One of them is probably 100' tall and is leaning toward my house.  We'll see what happens.

I finished cleaning up and am waiting on my daughter.  Her plane is delayed but she should be just able to make her connection.  I'll be glad when she's on the last leg of her trip.

I love West Virginia.  We drive through it frequently when we go see our oldest at Virginia Tech.

Hope all is well with JayDee today!  I have family in that area.  Born in West Virginia, raised in Indiana!
