LucindaC,

I am so sorry your daughter hasn't received any of your letters as of yet.  I hope they catch up to her soon.  My daughter had sent me some mail that I never received, and no explanation as to what happened.  Just keep writing, make sure you have her correct ship/div and hopefully when you get to talk to her you can tell her you've been sending her mail.

rebeccachaplain,

I will have to look that one up.  Just listened to her new song the other night.

bbcregular,

Your time is coming!!!!  Sometimes it seems time crawls by and other time it's blistering way too fast!!!!  Your daughter will be so happy when all this hard work is behind her and she moves on to the next adventure!!!

So happy for all the moms and proud of our daughters for their hard work and accomplishments. One day I will be posting that my girl is graduating A school. 12 months of hard work to go. So much is happening so you know who you are. Hugs to all and praises to God for how he calms our souls and takes care of our loved ones. He alone is faithful.

LucindaC, I feel you. The thing I have found out is that our girls are so busy and tired that they are not really upset with us at all. During BC I would hear anxiety on one call then the next was pure elation with the entire adventure and accomplishments. All us moms go through the ups and downs of this navy family life. Before you know it will be time for Battle Stations and PIR then off to A school for the next chapter. Some chapters are short and some seem so long. We are all here for you. Some of the more experienced moms will give you other words of encouragement and wisdom. You are not alone.

LucindaC it happens. My daughter got her letters all out of order. Make sure you number them so she knows what order you wrote them in. My daughter got mine before any from her boyfriend. I have no explanation it is what it is. I'm sure you'll get all call soon.

I just got my 3rd letter from my daughter and she said she has NOT received any of the letters that I have written so far. I have sent her 5 already and I have no idea why she has not gotten them. She did get one from her brother but she is a little upset because she thinks I haven't written her. This breaks my heart!!!! I hope she gets to call tomorrow so I can let her know, last Sunday she was not able to call. I even sent her a box with her contacts and favorite eyeliner that hopefully she gets soon. She was able to have those sent to her. None of our letters have been returned, so I don't know what help the Post Office might be. Don't know what to do????

JayDee,

Have fun and enjoy Charleston!!!  It's a pretty city and lots to do!!  Give your girl a hug from me and tell her I said Congratulations and I'm so proud of her!!!

Roliesmom,

You are so right - - sleep the last few days before PIR was just a suggestion, not a reality!!!  It was the same traveling to Rhode Island for Jenn's commissioning!!  Especially since several members of our family were traveling separate and I worried about everyone getting in on time!!  And commissioning events go for three days.  Friday morning we got up at 0430 so we could watch the last class run.  I remember standing outside in the dark and cold thinking to myself only for one of my kids would I be doing this!!!  We were invited to run along behind the soon to be officers and I just said Yeah - right!!!!!  But we can always catch up on sleep on our way back home!!!

Oleander,

Thank you I will be sure to do that!!!!

Thanks Roliesmom. Graduation is over and we're headed out for fun in Charleston! I liked A school graduation better than PIR. Got to talk to the instructors.

Sorry I was late with my post JayDee, I didn't realize the time came soo fast. Ok new prayer, for the time to slow down while your with her. soak up all the hugs and smiles, still enjoy :)

Anna, congratulations, what an accomplishment!! on to the next one :)

JayDee, no worries about getting up early, you probably won't be able to sleep the night before anyway, lol. The anticipation of seeing our girls kicks our bodies into overdrive or something. On the drive from Cali to Chicago I must have slept 5 hours every night for the 4 day trip but I felt great. I remember it was hard sleeping the closer we got to GL. The night before PIR I did not sleep, my mind was wondering like crazy and my heart was pumping way too fast. The things we go threw for our girls . On the way home I could not stay awake, my body knew the excitement was over, lol. So my prayer for you is, an eased mind and a calm heart. Enjoy :)

Anna so far so good. Sailor just told me that A school graduation starts at 7:30 am and that we should be there at 6:30 am. Ugh. Good to see her though. She's such a happy little creature.
