When I get on my computer I'll send one. I haven't been on my computer lately. I guess it has something to do with all the hours I use it at work. Sorry about your knee. One with bad knees I know what a pain it is for them to hurt. Over Christmas I tore a ligament in my right knee. The ortho could only give me a shot. It's feeling much better now. Still using my cane though. That might help you.

Thank you for asking!!  Still hurts.  I'm walking more but not nearly as much as I'm used to.  Still lots of pain when I walk on it.  Waiting for a consult with ortho but haven't been called yet.  Other than that, still hanging in there!!!!

I think we need an Aurora picture update!!!!

Good Evening Jean,

How is everything going for you up there with all those storms hitting the Pacific Northwest?

Wow ladies - both of those jobs sounds fascinating.  Love the picture JayDee.

hellraiser,

I have a whole new appreciation for those that assist other ships in and out of port after spending time in Astoria, OR.  This is where the Columbia River opens to the Pacific Ocean and is believed to be the most dangerous water on the Pacific - the Columbia Bar.  We learned about Bar pilots who would board the ships and help them navigate out into the pacific.  What an awesome job your hubby has!!

Blondie glad your starting to feel better, your trip planning sounds wonderful.

Anna my hubby pushes barges that have oil chemicals.depends where he is needer. He's going back to work early tomorrow he will start out in the Houston Tx, port arthur, Freeport Texas area. Then Friday he will head to work on a different boat for a week in the New Orleans/ Baton Rouge area. Then he will finally in a week or so come back to his regular boat, working the Texas area. Never a dull moment lol. With the oil field picking back up, who knows where he will go. He usually works a 20/10 or a 30/15, but he was trying to get his western rivers endorsement so he had been riding 45 days home 7 for the last 3 months. Hoping this hitch he will get back on a regular rotation so we can plan our family vacation.

Anna - here's a picture from last year of me and my gal on patrol.  Last year was her first year and she was a candidate - thus the black vest.  It's amazing how many people we meet and how far away they come from.  We have a very small hill and I'm always amazed when people tell me they came from Alabama or someplace to ski here, but I guess fun is fun!

Happy 2016 everyone. Oh it's cold here in Florida!!  Of course being from northeastern Ohio this is not as bad, but it still feels good to be wrapped up in my little blanket and do nothing!!!!

hellraiser,

So happy you had a great visit with your girl and hubby got in some good family time.  I find your hubby's job fascinating. Where does he do his towing?

JayDee,

I knew you told me you like to ski but are you a ski patrol also?  Sounds exciting!  However this is coming from someone who never skied in my life!!!!!  :)

Have a great week everyone!

Good morning!  It's a cold 23 here today and I'm hoping that the cold stays with us long enough to make some snow at our local ski resort.  They opened the bunny hills yesterday only.  Hopefully by my regular shift on Wednesday they'll have a few more runs open.  Skiing is my therapy and if I don't get on the slopes soon I may have to start paying for therapy!  Will be lonely this year without my sailor as she was on ski patrol too.  :(
