Good Morning to Everyone. Happy New Years to Everyone.

Hello ladies!  Sorry I've been absent for awhile.  Laptop is in for repairs again and I can't post from my tablet easily!  Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was quiet,  uneventful, which I guess is good. Skyped with the two sailor kids and texted with the other two.

JayDee,

How sweet to read your comment - we were taught to use pantyhose in bootcamp to shine shoes, 100 years ago!!!!!!!

hellraiser,

Love the pictures!!!!  Glad you had some good time together!

Oleander,

So happy your girl made it home!  We celebrate big moments when we can!!!!!  Enjoy your visit and give your girl a big NavyMom hug from me!!!!

Jean,

Happy to hear Aurora is better.  Hate it when little ones get sick!

SNC's MOM,

So good to see you on here!!!  I sent you a personal welcome message on your page!  The other Mom's comments are right,  as hard as it is,  no news is good news. Sometimes they miss chances to call or write but I think it's good they are kept busy. Not easy on us tho!!! The only things you can send her in bootcamp is a phone card and stamps. Later on she may request some makeup for pictures, and contacts if she wears them, but wait until she tells you when they can get it!  Hang in there, it's tough but you are not alone!!!!!!

Wishing all of you a Happy and safe New Year's Eve and all the best for a fantastic 2016! Same for all of our sailors and veteran sailors!!!!!

I was told that they really can't have anything. I did send my daughter pantyhose legs as she likes them to shine her shoes.

Hi, Blondie! Yes, I start every morning with a little letter to her! She said on the phone for me to write her as much as I can, cause they get mail every night! Would you know if I would be able to send her more then just letters?
Comment by JayDee659 on December 30, 2015 at 5:30pm
The fact that she sounds good is a big positive. Truly she is probably either busy or trying to catch up on sleep. When we picked my daughter up after PIR she showered and napped in our hotel room, I could tell she was super tired. She said she generally had a choice of writing or napping. I just kept writing and sent at least 3 letters a week. There was a running letter open on my desk top and I'd add to it until it was time to send. It's probably harder on us than on them. They are busy and know they're fine. We have no clue what's going on in their lives. Even now when I can reach out and touch her (so to speak) I worry about what's going on. It's a mom thing. :)

Hi, JayDee659! When I talked to my daughter on Saturday she soundest good! She said that boot camp was a little stressful, but what did we expect! Thank You for talking to me:)

Hi SNCsMom! That sounds normal to me. I wouldn't worry yet. How did she sound when you talked? I got all jammed up because my daughter hadn't called and others in her group had. Turned out she had watch and missed her call times. She's probably busy. The Navy will let you know if anything is really wring. No news really is good news. Hang in there!

Oleander, I'm glad that you're feeling better.  How exciting that your daughter is home.  Give her big hugs and have a Merry Christmas!  It's amazing how they bring the sunshine with them isn't it?
