Good morning everyone, hope everyone had a good weekend.

Julyasmom, happy you had a good time with your girl, and her friend. Hope they enjoy Pensacola. My girl was there at Corry Station, or as she called it the prison part of the base. She was there for A school, and C school. Hope that your girl and her friend get to see each other when they both have free time.

Jean, sounds like a fun weekend.

chamomile, keep us posted.

roliesmom, my girl kept her phone with her, he cell company fixed it so she wouldn't get charged, but could still use her phone for texting when they were in port. She also had a phone she could use on ship.
Anna, hope things are going well for you. Where are you now?

Blondie, did you get that weekend away yet?

Sorry if I missed anyone. Hugs to you all.
Thank you for the prayers for Crystal. She says she feels back to normal. Work is getting better. The women I work with are finally seeing that the changes I made, make since, and saves them time. And they are now talking to me. Whew.. Thought it was never going to happen..LOL
Have a good Monday, off to work. But Monday's are half days at this school, so makes it a short day for me. YAY

Julyasmom,

So glad you had a good time with your daughter and her friend, and I hope they like P'cola.  My daughter went to flight training there after OCS.  I got to visit her and we had a great time.  I hope the girls can get together once they phase up in A school and earn privledges.  I know there are at least two Naval bases there so hopefully they are on the same one!!!  Even in the middle of November Jennifer and I spent lots of time at the beach and it was pleasant.  And the last air show of the Blue Angels is always at P'cola, their home base, so maybe your daughter will get to see that.

Well after a whirlwind PIR day and a half our daughter landed safely in Pensacola for A school. We were able to meet a good friend of hers who's family had to leave early. The girls were on the same flight so she just hung out with us. They were so excited, tired, and just plain silly. They don't have the same rate but will hopefully be able to spend some time together. My daughter has a hard time making friends with other girls a lot of times so this was so nice to see!

8isenuff,

Congratulations to your girl!!!  That's quite an accomplishment!!  Even tho you don't post often that's ok, as long as we get wonderful updates about our sailor girls!!!!  Any chance she would be going subs or does she have a ship picked out??

cbjmom,

So happy your girl made it safely!!  I second that, keep us posted on how she likes it and how it goes for her.

hellraiser,

I didn't realize your daughter and cbjmom's daughter were in the same rating!!  And going to the same place??  Maybe the girls will get to know each other?

roliesmom,

Whenever my son deployed on a ship we would communicate by military email and of course facebook.  He suspended his cell phone until he got back close to the states.  Whenever he got into a port we would always skype.  I'm not sure how he and his wife communicated (if it was any different), but I can ask.  Will she be in a country or on a ship?

Julyasmom,

Congratulations to your brand new Sailor!!!!  Enjoy every minute.  Hope she doesn't have to stand watch!!!
