Morning Everyone, Well I can say seeing some pictures of my baby girl the other day has made me one happy momma. My kids say mom is back to herself. I'm not the depressed mom, not wanting to do anything. When hubby calls (hes a towboat captain gone 20-30 days a month home 7-10 days) he said he can hear in my voice that i'm doing better. I guess i just needed to see or hear for myself shes doing good!!

Wow!!  Lots of cool stuff going on here.  Sorry I haven't been on here lately but hubby and I are enjoying so much to do and see in Yellowstone.  I highly recommend visiting Yellowstone sometime - it is truly an awesome experience!!

Now let's see if I can catch up here~~

MommaBear,

So happy that you got the skinny here before sending daughter a "sound' card.  Not only her but depending on the RDC the whole ship could have received extra IT.

Julyasmom,

Gee I miss a few days and your daughter leaves for bc and you get your I'm here call.  So happy for her - I know you and hubby are going through some rough times.  Sorry her dad is taking it so hard.  Feel free to come here for all the help and support you need - even if you don't feel like you get it from hubby.  Mine was completely the opposite - also a Navy vet he was so happy and proud for his daughter but he kept saying how he was looking forward to having the empty nest!!  Only made me sad all the more cause I thought he was happy she was gone!!!!  He couldn't understand how I felt!!!

RichnRebecca,

4 weeks down!!!  Hope all continues to go well!!!

hellraiser,

Vickyrun is right - there could be other reasons why daughter couldn't call.  My daughter said she usually used her Sundays to catch up on taking care of uniform etc and just didn't have time to take out for phone calls.  I understood - but didn't like it!!!!

Jean,

BEAUTIFUL picture.  Cant believe she's almost one year old.

Mama3girls and kjsdaughter,

So happy you got to see pictures from RTC.  Not only were there no pictures online when my daughter went in but N4Ms was so new and I hadn't joined until after she finished A school!!!!!  Fast forward 4 years when her twin sister went to OCS and not only N4Ms helped me tremendously but Officer Training Command had a facebook page and I saw several pictures of her!!!!  Much has changed and for the good as I see it!!!!

Proudtrojansmommy,

I hope by the time I'm posting this that you have heard from your girl that she is there safe and sound!!!!

Teeb and Tammy 66,

Good to see you here!!! Happy all is going well so far!!!

I sure hope I didn't miss anyone!!! Have a great week!!!

Julyasmom , glad she made it safe! Mine is still on her way! Thought it was cool that she shipped with a handful of other girls! Now comes the wait for the form letter and box.

Hi Ladies! Just got the I'm safe call! Was surprised to get it at 5:15!

Good morning all, That is wonderful, hellraiser and Mama3Girls.

There wasn't much Navy stuff on Facebook when Chrissy was in BC either. I got most of my news from this site or our M&G's. There is more now. But even when they get out of BC you don't hear everything.

Just remember that limited news is for our sailors safety; Loose Lips Sink Ships.

Good Morning to Everyone.

I am glad some of you got to see your daughter on FB. When my daughter went to BC there was no FB page. So I was only able to see her at PIR. It really does help to be able to see them to get through BC or to hear from them. When she was at BC we never got a phone call from her except I am here and I am a sailor call. So you guys are very lucky things have changed.
