Bugsmom,

Comment by Anna on October 18, 2018 at 9:38pm

Bugsmom,

Got to the website for Recruit Training Command  http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/graduation.html. On the right hand side you will see a link for live feed of graduation.  I do believe PIR starts at 0900.

stbl,

Congratulations on your sailor about to graduate tomorrow as well.  I agree with JayDee, even tho I don't know anyone in the ranks, when I see those doors open and those recruits march in, I get goosebumps and tears!!!  It's like I'm there watching for my girl all over again!!!!

JayDee,

You are so humorous!!!  I just don't know how you do it!!!!  Funny thing my physical therapists tells me when I walk I'm supposed to bend my knee like I'm going to kick my butt and then step forward on my heel.  I keep telling her, no matter how big my butt is there is no way I can do that!!!!!!!

Comment by Bugsmom on October 18, 2018 at 7:38pm

ok, so I posted this question on another group, but they are taking too long to answer, lol.  I see people talking about watching the recruits on FB and was wondering what the best search was to do this?  Thanks!!  BTW got my girls box today!!

Stbl I hope you are able to go to it, what an incredible ceremony. I get tears in my eyes just waiting for those doors to open, and I don't know a child in the group. Funny how thiaes feelings come back so strong

JayDee569, PIR is tomorrow!!

Comment by JayDee659 on October 18, 2018 at 1:29pm

Stbl congratulations on that call!  One of the best calls ever!  Is her PIR this week or next?

Anna, your knee is kicking your butt?  Seriously, I can't get my knee in that position, you're rocking it!  Yes, I'm ready for ski season but it's most likely not time until December.  We're in the last few weeks of our OEC class for this years candidates.  I'll be glad to get my Thursdays back.

Those were incredible pictures that the Bush posted.  So awful for that family but I love the support of the crew for the family.

Anna, I will keep you in my prayers ❤️

I just got the “I’m a Sailor” call and couldn’t be more proud!!

Good afternoon Ladies!!  So happy to see many of our new moms chatting on here!!  I've sent you all personal welcome messages. The ladies on this group are the best Navy Moms in the world (in my humble opinion!!) and I love reading all the support that is freely given to each other!!!  We are not alone, but it can sure feel that way sometimes.  No one, in my mind, understands being a Navy Mom more than another Navy Mom!!!  Yes, we all have those "moments" and the comments from well-deserving individuals!!  I know this group has been a life-line to me many times!!  Hang in there new Moms - sending each of you cyber hugs {{{ . . }}}

I was so saddened to see the photos of the memorial service on the Bush for the fallen sailor.  I can't imagine the pain his family is dealing with.  I was surprised but glad to see the Bush invited his family onboard for the services.  I'm not sure that has happened much before.

Thank you for asking about my knee - it is kicking my butt for sure!!  For some reason this one is not recovering as well as the first one did and I can not get over how stiff it still is.  During PT I am strapped into a machine that forces my knee to bend about 108 degrees and let me tell you - I haven't felt pain like that since childbirth!!!  Thankfully my hubby stands besides me for the 10 minute torture and lets me squeeze his hand to pieces!!!!!  I'm so afraid I'm going to completely loose my stuff each and every time it bends my leg back!!!  I'm not a happy camper right now.  Still doing my home PT exercises twice a day but I could really use some prayers and a miracle!!!!

And it's getting cold here in Oklahoma so I can only imagine how cold it's feeling up north!!!  Not ready for winter yet!!  JayDee, you waxing those skies yet???

Have a wonderful week everyone!!!  Go Navy!!!

Mrs76peeps that's great! My daughter reenlisted last fall, she plans on making the Navy a career. I got to go on the Tiger Cruise last year, that was pretty incredible.

Small world, JayDee659.

My daughter and I got to tour the ship at the Homecoming last August. It was a great experience. I think that really solidified her decision to enlist.
