JayDee,
Time seems to fly by sometimes!!! Other times it drags like flat tires on a race car!!!!
Oops, hit enter. Today is my sailors 2nd wedding anniversary. I have no idea where the time has gone.
Anna, that's awesome!
Happy 4th to all.
Fantastic JJ and LL!!! So glad you got your letter!!
Good news Blondie!!!
Just learned that on the 4th (which is now where the Sailor Son is) he is re-enlisting - again!!!! So proud of my boy!!!
Such an Exciting time for you new Navy Mom's. Glad the letters are getting through and your Spirits are being lifted. I remember those days, telling everyone you see, I got a LETTER today! Stalking the poor mailman.... My day was Thursday, of course they got to write on Sunday so by the time the mail got here it was Thur. But we didn't know this stuff then, (didn't have Navy4moms). I would read and re-read, hold and re-fold those letters! Finally I got smart and put them in protective plastic covers. LOL I saved them all and so did my daughter so we have a Wonderful Scrapbook now.
I just got back from a 2 week vacation visiting my daughter and granddaughter. A working vacation but still got to spend time with them!!!! Joe is deployed so we went out to help her for her Exam week, she had 2 oral surgeries and got a hair cut too! We got a lot done around the house, inside and outside. Every little bit helps when you have a 14 month old. and going to college. We even built Tahlia a learning tower, we put a door on it with a lock. I let hubby and daughter pick out the lock, wrong thing to do. By the 2nd day Tahlia figured it out! LOL It's a learning experience.
We had a Wonderful trip, made Great memories and a tearful good-bye. Life always gets in the way, we had to come back home. Looks like my next trip will be by air and alone. I feel bad for Hubby but can't wait to leave. LOL at last, I have a few months in first. facetime will have to do for now.
I hope you all have a Wonderful 4th and get to see or talk to your Sailors. Big Navy Mom HUGS
I received my form letter today! I was in the post office and told everyone I knew that I heard from my baby. It is a small town so people were so excited for me. I can’t wait to get personal mail or a phone call!
I got the form letter today! Thank you everyone for the thoughts and reminding me to stay calm :)
mamabear,
Have you heard from your girl by now?? I forget when it was that I finally learned exactly when graduation was.
JJsMom,
Hope you get that form letter soon. I don't want to scare you but when my daughter was in bootcamp I never got my form letter. It got lost in the mail. And that was back when they mailed the base pass with the letter. However, I was able to call RTC and get the information I needed, and we never needed a base pass cause we too a shuttle from our hotel to the base. And whenever we needed to drive her back she was with us and got us on base!! So it all worked out!!
But I hope you get your letter this week!!!!! And yes, 4th of July may delay it one more day!!!
JJsMom I agree with Txmom, totally normal. It depends on what day she got there, what day the mail went out and where you live. I'm sure you will get it soon. Remember the 4th of July will mess with the mail schedule
