Thanks JayDee!!  I sure hope so.  Now she just wants to wrap up this year of deployments and become an instructor!!!  In the meantime, hubby and I are learning how to take care of dogs!!!  One of her dogs - the largest one - is epileptic.  We witnessed him having two seizures the other night.  Scary but I think we'll know how to handle it in the future!!!

Anna, congratulations to Jen on mission commander! I'm sure that the divorce has been a hard thing but it sounds like good things are coming her way!

Oleander,

Jenn is doing ok, getting ready to leave on another deployment in a couple weeks.  Her ex filed the papers and they were finalized on Jan 26!!  One month before their 3rd anniversary.  I can't believe that this divorce happened just a little more than one month after he announced he was moving out.  Took a whole lot longer to plan the wedding than it was to throw it all away!!!!

On a happier note - she also made Mission Commander recently!!!

Oleander, love the poster! It's such a great feeling when they're finally home. Gets lots of hugs!

Hi everybody! I hope everyone is well.

Great photo JayDee! How cute they're in matching jammies!

Jesmom, all the love and photos you can send from home are treasures while they're in bc!

Anna, how are you? Yes, been thinking about your daughter and sending her love and prayers. To you all.

Well ladies, I can't say when but look what I have -- getting ready for The Day!!!!

Thanks krikris!  That was actually a tough day as we were snowed in and everyone was getting cabin fever.  My sailor and her husband are on the right along with my sailors dog.  The other two are my oldest daughter and her boyfriend.  My sailor was bummed when I had to go home and take her doggie with me but her schedule just isn't conducive to having a dog.

Glad you made it to PIR, it's a wonderful experience.  I've watched a couple on line since my daughter had hers and waiting for those doors to open gives me that same feeling as it did when I was sitting there waiting to see my daughter.

Jesmom6 - Love that idea.

JayDee - What a happy family!

Well, we made it to Great Lakes and back.  We had good weather (40s and just a little breeze).  I’ve been taking full credit for the warmer temps, I had been “pushing” our West Coast warmth that way for a little over a week - guess it worked :)

It was so good to finally see DD and give her a big hug - didn’t want to let go but I had to share with DH and her boyfriend.  PIR was a moving ceremony, I’m so glad we took the time and went.

She’s now started A-School in TX.  After seeing pics of her room it’s easy to think that she’s just away at school, so we’ll be able to talk more frequently and even visit once she phases up to Liberty privileges.  Actually she’s not much further away than our son is at college, just a different direction.  Just have to load up the camper and we’ll be on our way. :)

Jesmom6, that's a great idea! I used to send my daughter pictures to her dog. She said she really liked those.

Hi Anna, how's your daughter doing? I've been thinking about her.

Beautiful picture!!  I just realized I'm not getting all the email notifications when people post on this site!!!!  Not happy!!!

Jaydee59 my daughter arrived at Boot scamp on 1/2. I haven't heard from her except for the form letter. I'm praying she gets to call home this weekend. My other daughter's and I are having a Girls Day Out on Sunday. One of them made a "Flat Erin" so she can "join" in on the fun! We're going to take pics and print them out on one of her letters describing the day. She's either going to love us  or hate us because we got to get together. Lol
