Tweetybird, my daughter called several times after the I'm a Sailor call too. Keep your phone on you with the volume on high! She wants to hear the excitement in your voice as much as you do hers. Huge congratulations to you all!

Oh Tweetybird I'm so sorry you missed it but Hooray for her! I accidentally hung up on my daughter when she called. She called her bf then called me back 15 minutes later. Then she called almost every day after that. Don't worry, she'll certainly get another chance! Maybe not tonight but soon.

I missed the I'm a sailor call :( My daughter is in DIV 246 if you hear anything can you let me know? And will I get another call since she didn't get in touch with anyone?

Thank you JayDee659, I was starting to stress myself out a little.  I'm sure she can handle the extra pt, if they give it to her.

badgermom it may be fine and then again they may give her some extra pt.  From what I understand it all depends on how big the package is an how much it gets under the skin of those in charge of her group. My daughter was in boot camp for her 19th birthday and everyone from her high school ROTC send her birthday cards in all different colored envelopes and no one ever said a word to her.  Don't worry too much, a little moisturizer is not a death sentence :)

My daughter asked me to mail her some moisturizer at bootcamp.  I did, but now I'm wondering if it will get her in trouble?  I figured if she asked for it, then it must be okay, but now I'm seconding guessing myself.

bbcregular, I remember our daughter telling us when they were "out" that she worked days during the week and nights over the weekend.  then when port calls came around that all changed. they usually worked 12 hour shifts too.  Praying she does well and learns a lot.  Sounds like fun. :)

JayDee659 -  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! and love those long talks. Don't know how to end call sometimes.

Dad heard from our daughter.  She is on a strange work schedule - some day, some night.  She will be on loan to another unit to begin "...games" for the next three weeks.  They chose the least trained person so they will not be short on experience for the real stuff.  We just said learn and do your best. Not everyone gets to train in that way.  Could be valuable in the future.

Thanks JayDee, the stress doesn't help or skipping food.....I'm almost over it.  Just hope it doesn't come back.  Mine can last anywhere from a few hours to days. :(  Routine is very important besides diet ...weather, traveling can be bad.....we leave Friday!  I'm not stressing ") I'[m sure all will be perfect by then.  LOL

Glad you got to chat with her.  Who wouldn't enjoy London?!

Congrats to you and hubby!  (LOL) We're  celebrating  36 this year, WHERE did the years go?  But on the other hand, I feel like I've experienced about 50 years of marriage. I guess that is what kids to do us.

Blondie, I got migraines until I was pregnant with my sailor (our youngest).  Since then I'll get one on a rare occasion but when I do they're the worst.  They've come out with so many new meds that really help.  Hope you are 100% very soon!

My sailor called me yesterday for a long talk.  She's doing well and just finishing up a port call in London.  Since she joined the ship on deployment she said she was unable to sign up for the tours.  She and some others went into the city together but I don't think they got as much out of it as if they'd been in a tour group.  Oh well, next time.

Today is my 30th wedding anniversary.  Thank goodness I was a child bride :)
