There you go Wade,
That's a start!! I'm expecting (yeah like I'm doing any of the work!!) my first grandchild mid-June!!
Maybe you could take up cross-stitch or something like that and do a little picture for your grandchildren. That could drive you crazy and help forget a bit!!

Wade,
I am so sorry you are going through this and getting yourself sick from worrying. And you have awhile to have to wait until you get the tests done. Do you have a hobby or something that you can use to distract your mind during this wait time? If we were closer I'd have you helping me with this census stuff - that's enough to keep your mind overwhelmed and you won't have a moments time to worry!!! I know it is so hard but you have to try to keep the fear of the unknown from increasing your stress and making yourself sick. I wish I had a majic answer for you!!

Wade,
Well you can't go worrying about what it could be until you get the test results - - - yeah, easier said than done right?!? I'm keeping you in my prayers!!
When do you have your CT scheduled for? Gosh you would think if you had an infection you'd know about it!!! We will be waiting with you until you get the test results back. Hang in there!!!

BB,
Good to hear from you!! How are you and your sailor doing??
Comment by BB on April 8, 2010 at 3:53pm
Be strong Wade, we are all praying for you!
And yes it does suck getting old.

Good Afternoon!! We got done early today so I get to get on here earlier!!! One college done; another tomorrow!!

NavyMom,
I'm so sorry for your daughter. It is so hard when they are hurting so much and we hurt just as much for them. I understand those long silences on the phone, but she knows you are there for her and even tho' we can't do anything for them, we will be there to listen and comfort. Then we have to remind them that we are still proud of them, we believe in them, and we know this will make them stronger. Please tell her all us moms here are still proud of her and admire her for what she is doing!!!

Blondie,
Glad you are still taking it easy!! Keep healing and getting stronger!! Sailor girl coming home soon!!!! :)

Wade,
Hope you are doing well! Like Pat said - let us know how your tests went and we will journey with you whatever it is!!!

Judy,
So glad to see you here!!! Tell us as much as you can about your sailor girl - her job, where she is stationed, etc. Currently I have two kids serving - my son did four years got out and then went back in!! He's been in a year of his second stint and is an IS in NV. My daughter has been in since 08 and is a PS in WA. Her twin sister just got accepted in the Navy's officer program as a Naval Flight Officer. She will be sworn in as an E3 while she finishes her last two years of college, then report for OCS and flight school. I have one older son who is not in the Navy!!!

Pat and Joanne,
Hope all is going well with you.

Where's DC?? And several others we haven't heard from in awhile - - - - - -

Good Evening all,
I survived today's experience now on to colleges. That I can handle!!

NavyMom,
Did I miss a post. I see apologies going to you but the only post I see from you is a sad face. Did your Sailor #2 not pass her test or did she not get to take it?

Pat,
Do you have the same green clouds of dust in FL? I would have thought you had more palm trees than pine trees. It is so bad here in Raleigh - driving down the road feels like I'm driving in a fog - only green. I don't have allergies but even this bothers my throat, lungs, and nose. I feel so bad for anyone with allergies it's got to be bad!!

Friday Jenn goes to MEPS for her medical. We just hope there are no surprises!!

I'm staying busy - - tomorrow - women's prison!!! What fun!!!!

NavyMom,

Prayers going out for Sailor #2!! For calm confidence and the wisdom to know her stuff inside and out!!!

Wade,
Sorry I missed your post - you must have posted while I was typing!!! Sorry your son missed his first earthquake!! :) Nothing like going through an earthquake. I experienced two when I lived in San Diego. Don't want to feel another!!

I will keep you in my prayers for good news on your tests!! Hope you PASS!!!
Keep us posted on how your girl is doing when you hear from her!!

Blondie,
So good to see you back!!!! Yeah!! Now - continue to take it easy so you can heal completely!!! Please thank your daughter for keeping up informed. She really is a special lady!!!
Be glad you are not here in NC. We have this greenish fog all over the place. Pine tree pollen!!! It coats the cars so much you can't see out the windows and it laughs at the windshield wipers trying to clean it off!! I was driving to downtown Raleigh and I felt like I was in Los Angeles with the smog (like it was back in the 70s - it's probably much better now) there was just a green haze over the whole city. Makes it hard to breath when you're outside!! We need rain to wash the air!!

DC.
Glad you had a nice visit with son and his family!! I missed having any family around for this Easter. First time since we started our family 30 years ago!!! It was strange!!

Pat,
I love those marshmellow eggs also. Bought a few just for me. I did a mini Easter basket just for Steve and I. It should last us until Halloween!!!

Jane,
Welcome Back!!! Maybe you could put up a couple pics from your trip!!! So glad you had a nice visit. That tour sounds really neat!!!

Joanne,
Glad you had a nice weekend. Your team won - that has to bring a certain amount of joy to your day!!!

Hope our sailors and Navy Moms in CA did not have any damage to have to deal with caused by the earthquake. The location made it less of a catastrophy then it could have been!!
Still running all over the city every day working for the Census. Such a learning experience!! Everyone have a great week and will check in again tomorrow!!!!!
