The sun was out this morning but it has disappeared. We are having unseasonably warm temperatures.

Blondie, I'm glad you are home but please do not push. You do not want a relapse. I chuckled about your dog. My husband says that when I'm gone one of the cats searches the house for me. The other is more his cat so I don't rank a search with her.

Pat, I think V is settling in. She has a "new" boyfriend who is a Sailor stationed in Jacksonville, FL. This, of course, influenced her feelings about Japan. Even so, I think she is resigned and beginning to explore some. I hope that she does take advantage of the adventure. It is such a great opportunity.

Actually, Pat, we had not met either the wife or the granddaughter. We liked this wife ... she is a settling influence on our son which is very good.

Jane, what is your daughter's ship? V is assigned to the George Washington. She is in Atsugi when in port rather than Yokosuka.

I've been out because first DH had his knee replaced and then we had our sons here for a visit. DH is doing great. Our younger son brought his wife and youngest daughter to meet us. We had a great time.

Blondie, I hope you are healing! I was not aware you were so sick, definitely not good.

I hope everyone's Easter was peaceful.

Wade,
Bless you dear friend!! So glad you got to hear from your daughter!! Those few but far between phone calls can be a mixed blessing! I am glad she is excited. My daughter loved bootcamp! She always was a strange duck!!!

Blondie's daughter,
Thank you for the update! I'm glad they kept your mom another day and that she is getting lots of rest. Please tell her we are still keeping her in our prayers.
Happy Easter to you and your family!!!

Happy Easter to all my other wonderful Navy Moms!! I truely love each and every one of you and pray for each one of you and your sailors also!!!

Pat,
Yeah the past week I have been places I will never, ever, ever, want to be in again!!!

JAS,
Have a very happy Easter season!!! I wonder why no other news has been given about the missing crewmember from the plane. It's almost as tho' any additional coverage is being squashed. I haven't heard one peep about it since a very small blurb Wed. morning.
On another note - I heard on another group page that a van carrying several Marine recruits was hit head on by a semi and all were killed. Trying to find more info on that.

Pat,
haha - unfortunately this job does not provide or allow any special beverages on the job!!! And some of the places I've been lately dictate that you don't even want to drink any water because you will be without facilities for quite awhile!!!!!

Blondie's daughter,
Thank you for the update. Please let your mom know she is in our prayers and we need her to get well soon!!!
Thank you for the kind words to us. She does mean quite a bit to us and has touched many of our hearts also. (I got to have lunch with her last December - she is a very proud momma of all her children!!)

Good afternoon!! Where is everyone?? Blondie must not be working today - I hope she is just home taking it easy and getting better.
Blondie,
Maybe you don't think you boss would care about your health, but we do!! I hope your hospital visit was a short one and you are comfortable at home resting up and getting well!!!! Take care, friend!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Gotta get some calls made - will check in later!!!

Good evening all!! Sorry I haven't been here much the last few days. I've taken a part time job with the Census Bureau and have been keeping long hours. Three full days of training and now working places every day. Trying to keep my head above water. Interesting work I'll say that much!!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Jenn is waiting to get her appointment to go to MEPS for her medical!! Everyone else in the family is doing fine.

Anna, how do you like NC? Raleigh is nice, I am only 40 minutes away in Rocky Mount.
