I'm so glad that all is well in Hawaii! I can only imagine how scary it is to know that your daughter is under tsnunami warning!

Hi, Maggie, great to "see" you here. I am so glad that Mary is recovering nicely from her surgery. How is school going for her?

Pat,
Amen!!! I too am glad that all seems to have settled down, well except for those folks in Chilie! I'm glad Hawaii missed the bullet as they say.
Enjoy that dinner - I had to settle for left overs!! And a "once every 6 months" beer!!!

Pat,
Has San Diego seen any surge? I don't remember when anything was supposed to hit there timewise.

NavyMom,
I would be so curious about how they evacuate all the ships there. I would think there would have to be an order who's first, second and so on. Sure couldn't have a bottleneck of ships and captains blowing their horns at other captains like people trying to evacuate by highways!! Sorry - I know that's "out there" but I was just sitting here fantasizing!!!
I wonder if the Arizona Memorial can stand a tsunami?

Pat,
That spaghetti sounds so good - what time is dinner? ha ha
Will I have time to get to Blondie's for some chile later?? Especially with the cornbread and butter - don't worry Blondie - I won't tell your dr!!!

I've been watching live coverage on CNN all afternoon. They said the Navy was moving out the large ships to get them out of harms way. Thank God they've had plenty of warning.
Jane,
They are saying it will be a couple waves and the second can be worst than the first. Also not sure just how high waves will be because they haven't had many tsunamis coming from the east like this. So much depends on the ocean floor.

NavyMom,
I pray your daughter and all our sailors there are in safe places. Keep us posted when you hear from her again.

Blondie, I'll pray for your daughter's safe journey.

Lisa, great news on your daughter's completion of A school and orders to the Enterprise.

Boy did we have a wind storm last night. Power has been out since midnight. We had a power surge when the power went and we lost two surge protectors but not the equipment! Our whole house surge protector is out but hopefully will come back on when the power returns.

Isn't that high chaparral country there? Did the Roy Rogers museum ever get finished there?

Pat,
I had a job like that once back when we lived in Annapolis. It was at a boating store. The guy engaged in more creative bookkeeping than I cared to deal with. He never paid payroll taxes for like 3 years!! When he started asking me ot forge documents for him I had to leave!!! Hope the business picks up soon so you can cash your paychecks!!!
