Pat,
Her rate would determine her sea duty, especially for her first enlistment. My son was an AO his first 4 year enlistment and he also was attached to a squadron that deployed numerous times. That whole enlistment was sea duty for him. Now as an IS he has shore duty as does Catherine as a PS. She gets two years shore and two years sea and then decides what she'll do next. Because she is a PS there are not many assigned to ships so her sea duty will probably be in a country overseas. She'd like a ship but we'll just have to wait and see.

Blondie,
Sorry you had to go into work on your day off. Go home and get some lunch!!! How's your weather in OH?

Pat,
How true - all we can ever do is take it one day at a time. I know Jenn's appt. is coming up soon so I hope she gets some results now. Since Jenn was supposed to deploy before all the medical stuff happened, is she doing her sea duty now? My daughter has her two year sea duty coming up next.

Blondie,
My daughter will be there for another year yet. Just after the beginning of next year she can start her paperwork for her next duty station but we won't know where she will really go next until she has her final orders in hand. We all know how things can change!!!

Good Morning!!! I made it home but it was an entire day of traveling and with the time difference it was midnight here when hubby and I finally got home. It was a wonderful trip tho'.
I just want to say to all the Moms here - I really am so glad we have this group to check in with everyday. Some of the other groups I belong to only have comments made every couple weeks. I know I can go on here everyday and hear from you wonderful ladies. I hope you all know how much your love and support for each other is appreciated. Thank you for all the kind words and for understanding!!!!
JM,
You most likely won't get this post until after your trip to GL but I wish you all the best - have a safe trip and enjoy seeing your sailor. We are all so happy for you and I know Puffy will be so happy to see her girl!!! I hope he doesn't hug her too hard, that could hurt!!!! lol

Pat,
So sorry to hear of the mess you have to get cleaned up, but I'm so glad you or any part of your house and car were not hurt or damaged. Thank God for that!!

So glad everyone else is doing well!! Gotta go catch up on stuff now but will check back in later on. Love and prayers to all our sailors wherever they may be!!

Hi Ladies and good mornings to all, Sleep last night, maybe some. I know I didn't crawl into bed until 1am and woke up before 6. We will leave for the airport in about 90 minutes, good thing I don't have small kiddlings to move along. Excited YES! Anxious definately, but at this point, since she is probably already completed BS, why worry? It is just the nervous buildup to the "I'm a sailor Mom you can relax now call. Anyway, I will take lots of pictures, Puffy is safely tucked in his go box and will be carry on only. Our PIR ladies expect him to be front and center for our group picture.

Pat, Joanne, Blondie, Anna thank you for the support in getting this far.

DC we never got any phone call from our girl about the med concern so I would say no news is good news. Thanks for the prayers and support.

JM, did Puffy visit the abominable snowman?

Joanne, send me a PM about the pillowcase.

This nice Petty Officer was able to tell Puffy that his Girl is doing a great service for her country. She was at Navy bootcamp learning to become a Sailor. If he wants to see her he will have to go to Great Lakes, Il. Puffy's flight is all arrainged and he leaves tomorrow.

Puffy's adventure continues. Puffy was able to talk to a Rubber ducky sailor friend and was told where to find information on his girl. Could his mission soon be over?

Ok Ladies with all the excitement and concern of the past few weeks, I have neglected Puffy's growing concern for his girl. So, here are two in a row and you will understand why when you see them. Thanks for your support and your tolerance of my whimsy. JM

Blondie, I'm not as creative in thinking of things to send. The pillowcases are rather straight forward so I can do that. The stockings allowed me to practice sewing on curves. I'm not too bad on outside curves but I got better on the inside curves as well.
