Now Joanne,
How about having a glass of wine with me instead of those cigarettes?!!!
I think I could use one tonight!!!

Good night Sammie,
I hope you sleep well!!

Blondie,
I am so sorry this has been such a sad week for you. No girlfriend, you did not hurt my feelings. I kinda figured something was going on after reading your post and just haven't had a chance to get back on here yet. Hubby had to be fed!!!
My mom passed away just a little over a year ago. She had 6 siblings, one brother died less than a year before she did. Her sister died just two weeks after she did, and her last sibling died about 6 months after that. The other 3 died years before, but in the course of a year and 1/2 we lost 4. So, I understand how this is hitting you and I feel for you. Especially with the wedding come soon, you will miss those family members all over again then.
Hope things work out for your daughters (both of them). Take care and will talk to you tomorrow.

mbville,
Sorry I missed your post while I was typing my book!! What wonderful comments.

Hello Blondie,
How was your day today?
Comment by Anna on September 23, 2009 at 6:50pm
Wow, what a day today. Such a sad day for two of our moms. I would like to say to both Texanbybirth and Raineegal to stay with us here. We will still be here to help you and support you through this difficult time. You can stay here with us as long as you need to.

Sammi,
So sorry you are having such pain. Is this something you will have more than once or is that experience over for you? I hope you are feeling better now and can get a good night's sleep tonight.

Donley P (Pam),
So nice to see you here. Enjoy the time with your daughter. My daughter was a depper for a year and I thought I'd have all kinds of time before she left!! Still not enough - and it still came faster than I was ready for. Actually, I don't think we are ever ready to send our kids out!!!

Susan H,
Glad your daughter got phased up and now has a little more freedom. I hope she enjoys her weekend in Chicago.

Cindy22,
What is SCC that your daughter is waiting for? A new code I don't recognize! Hopefully once the new fiscal year starts on Oct 1 she will get to start her school and won't have to wait until the winter!!

Pat,
Glad you got to have a nice talk with Jenn. Please tell her I am so proud of her tenacity and I really do pray she gets complete healing and can continue on with her dreams.

Welcome to Brenny!!! Love your logo picture!!

Dori,
How long will you be having company? By the way, I really thank you for the suggestion of taking notes while reading back through the posts. That is exactly what I did tonight!! Who says old dogs still can't be trained??!!!!

Snow!!! Are you kidding me. It is 95 degrees in Southern California. It would be nice to have a little change in the weather..
Texanbybirth - so sorry about your daughters problems. They found the scars on my daughters back that we had removed when she was 10 that they had to get full medical information on. Just some moles we had removed as a precaution. Gave us pause for a day or so when she was going through MEPS the first time.

Great Quote. At the swearing in today the officer talked about " Courage is not the absence of fear but still doing something even when you are afraid." I hope all our guys and girls heading off to new adventures dig deep for that needed courage.

Good night from me also!!

Hi Ladies, Back from MEPS in San Diego. Exhausting 2 days. Not expected to but had to go down to take extra clothes as they held her over at meps an extra day. Come to find out that it was planned that way and her recruiter either didn't know or didn't tell her. Stayed the night and went to her swearing in. SO glad it turned out that way even if it took several hour drive and a mad rush. Lots of pictures but can't post them as she is IS. She flies out tomorrow morning and has already been told she will head her group since she is E3. Talk about instant responsibility. So proud so tired as well as my turn to wait for the phone call, letter and box.
Pat(Mom of Jenn) I was thinking of your girl while I was down in SD. Sure hope all goes well with the MIR tomorrow.

JulieR,
Stay with us - we will help you through. I agree with everything Linda says. I don't cry as much but it's only been just over a year for me!! But we are so proud of them so then I feel silly for crying over missing her so when she is doing such a wonderful thing.

I feel so connected to all you moms tonight - - watching DWTS and recording NCIS!!!

Sammie,
OUCH!!!! Any injection in the neck would hurt me big time. I don't know what kind of work you do - you said your daughter worked with/for you and you had to work out the new schedule, but you are up ssssoooooooo early to go to work. Your mantra of I love my job....... really cracked me up!!! I'd be reciting that myself if I had to get up that early. I am NOT a morning person!!

Pat,
I will be praying for Jenn for her MRI tomorrow. I pray her doctors learn something and find what it is and how to treat her. She just sounds like such a trooper!!! Let us know when you hear something!!!

Good to hear from everyone!! Now - back to the show!!

Think I caught up. I took some notes as I was paging through. Tomorrow I'll be gone until evening. We need a discussion thread with Jenn and Maryssa updates. Then I can look there without 100 pages to go through!

Yup, Pat, I did suggest withdrawing the Chief's marrow ... very painfully.

Pat, with the help of my husband, I got the farmhouse clean. i still needed to some things here. Then it turned out my SIL changed her mind and is staying at the farmhouse with everyone else. So it didn't matter that the bedroom for her didn't get sheets on the bed, dusted or vacuumed. Good angel looking out for me.

Joanne .. FSU?? Florida State? Wrong University! Go Gators.

Pat, you are not being blunt. When you are waiting for the shoe to fall, you want to get it done and get on with he plan of what you are going to do about it. Knowing, even if news is bad, is somehow easier to deal with than the uncertainty.

JackieM, I think it is fantastic that you will get to see your daughter swear in. That is a momentous event and since you will be there, why not.

Did you know that you can purchase throw away undies? That's what we should send our daughters to BC with ... then they can just hrow them away. Or perhaps they should take everything that really belongs int he trash anyway. Then each morning, they get up, toss yesterdays clothes out and keep going. By the time they get to the box, there is nothing left.

Mimi, somehow I seriously doubt that you are the oldest!

Hey, you guys, if you go to the chat box in our discussion and several of you are there at a time, it should ding when someone posts something. My sound is always turned off so I'm not positive. Getting all the e-mails drives me crazy ... but that's not hard!
