Blondie I've been worrying about this home situation but they have to be adults some time!  As far as coming home, he wants to go to his parents home so that he can work on his car that he's been restoring.  They really need that vehicle so he wants to get it done.  It would make most sense for them for split up for at least a few days and do their own thing, then  meet back up again.  I've not heard from her since Sunday and I'm hoping next time she calls there will be a plan.

MandrakeMom, the nine weeks will go faster than you think  Just keep a hold of that phone for unexpected calls.  I threw myself into a volunteer organization that I work with.  It became a full time obsession and helped me pass the time.

JayDee, glad to hear it, sometimes those home inspections can turn up unwanted things and then VA loans or 1se home owner loans don't go through, we've had some nightmares with our kids.  you know me Always the worrier.  LOL

Praying you get to see your girl, can Hubby come with her?  can you go there??????

Oleander, Happy Days for you!!!!  I'm sure she is just as excited, Mine would talk and talk and talk.  :)  Happy memories.  Take lots of pictures and make memories.

Thank you Oleander, have fun with your girl! Sounds like you and I are in the same boat, so to speak.

I vote for her coming home too JayDee!

My sailor will be home on leave beginning tomorrow. Very excited to see her after weeks of no communication while underway. This will be her last leave before deployment. Going to make the most of every second!

Blondie, she tells me that the home inspection went just fine and they're closing next month.  Crossing my fingers that she'll be able to come home.  I know she is torn between that and spending time with her husband before she deploys.  I vote for her coming home!!!

Comment by Blondie on May 16, 2017 at 11:29am

Mandrakemom, Love the snotty mess comment.  we all UNDERSTAND THAT!  Hugs  I'll keep her in my prayers

Thank you Anna! Just got the final call. Luckily we'd both read about how that was going to go down. I fell asleep with my phone in my hand so I wouldn't miss it. 9 weeks and counting...

Oh MandrakeMom,  I so understand!!  It's really good to see them head off with a big grin on their face and we're holding in buckets of tears until they are out of sight.  My daughter was so happy as she boarded the plane and I'm walking out of the airport absolutely sobbing!!!  Best of luck to your girl and please keep us posted as to how she's doing!!!
