Hi ladies, hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and at least got to speak to your sailor. We had a quiet day as we celebrated last weekend when we were all together for our daughter's graduation from Prototype. The girls did "conference call" me so I got to hear their voices.
Blondie, sounds like you're running like a crazy person, as always. I don't know how you do it! Are you still at the same job? We've been having the unpredictable weather too. It's like last winter, the season doesn't seem to be settling in. Today is supposed to be 88 here and 90 tomorrow.
Anna, I love that idea of your son sending you a video of him coloring. That's incredibly sweet!
My sailor has an inspection of the home they're trying to purchase today. I'm hoping all goes well as they've not seen the house. Even if it goes as planned they cannot get in until after they have to report to their new command. All I can say is I'm glad they're young and can handle this. It's stressing me out!
Love the picture JayDee!
Pogobean, Glad you got a phone call. There is something about hearing their voice! Tells all. LOL Hugs
ShawMom, How WONDERFUL!!!! Enjoy and take pictures, When you get back, you'll have to tell all.
Work has been crazy and our weather worse! last Monday we had a freeze, Tue a frost, so just like winter up early and out late...covering those plants instead of shoveling. Lots of rain (flooded again Wednesday) and high winds....bad week for me, to the Doctor twice. My brother in law was in the hospital from Tue AM until Sat. night because of breathing. So I was lucky. 70/40 the last couple of days so hoping to hit 80's Wed. but of course the rain is coming back. I'll never get caught up on my lawn! My flowers are gorgeous and strawberries are gonna have a record year :)
my compute at home not working but neither is TV and phones are spotty so thinking it's the weather.....will try to get pictures, still not sure I know how on new Smart phone.
Got to spend Sat. night with my son, Church and dinner. Sun. up early and drove 1 1/2 hours to have breakfast with my Eldest Daughter. Got back around 2:30 so stopped for Ice Cream. Had BBQ pulled pork sandwiches for supper, then worked outside. Eldest texted me all evening 7-10pm Sailor and I exchanged text pictures and that's about it. Sucks not being able to turn on computer and communicate...Oh well
Now it's another week and more challenges.
Hope everyone heard from their Sailors. HUGS
Pogobean,
So glad you got to hear from her!!!
Quiet Mother's Day for me, got to hear from two of my kiddos. Daughter Jenn is still deployed and Sailor Son sent a message by Facebook. Actually it was a little video of him hand coloring a Mother's Day card for me!!!! It was sweet!!!
Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone hears from their sailors!
Wow! She looks great! Congratulations!
