I am so upset. before my daughter enlisted we had planned and paid for a cruise over Christmas. When she enlisted she was told not to take leave after A school so she would have the days available. So last week when she graduated she went straight to her station. She was told she'd start her next classes in January but she arrived on Wed. and started on Friday. She requested the time off but today was told no, her school will not end until 2 days after when she needs to leave. Also she is 3 days short on leave (she was told she'd be able to go in the hole). I know its the Navy and their needs but I hate her being alone on Christmas. She also will be able to only get a small percentage of her money refunded. I am trying to stay positive for her but I am in tears.
Good morning all! It's a rainy Tuesday here but my heart is sunny because my daughter called to tell me that she LOVED her classes. Glad things are finally under way as I think she was caught up on down time and ready to get going again.
Hope all of you are having a wonderful day!
Blondie,
Thanks for that update - I was just thinking of him the other day and wondered how he's doing!!!
Good morning all.
Blondie, your mind sounds like mine and your husband sounds like mine. I too like to understand the plan so I can then make my plan. Hang in there, it will all be fine and work out. And as they say, no news is good news.
I put all three doggies out at 7:00 this morning, then fed them breakfast and took them back to bed. At 9:00 there was a puppy nose in my face so it was time to get up and put them back out. After Bosley (my black lab) finished a rousing bark at a leaf that dared blow through our yard they all settled down for a nap. I feel bad for the Boxer. She's over 12 and stands at the door sidelight staring at the wall. I think her vision and hearing are failing and she's not aware that she isn't at the door. Hopefully everyone will be quiet for an hour while I get my morning reports done for work.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
JayDee,
