Good Morning to Everyone.

AHHH, Catsmom. Love those pictures.

While late night last night. Babysat Aurora until 11:30. Had to get up at 4 for work. Wow I am going to be tired tonight. At least my usual babysitting on Thursday isn't happening tonight. Her hubby is taking the day off or should I say the night off. There is the NFL draft today and they are big football fans. Plus Christina has a interview with the Electricians Union. If she gets in, She will have a pretty good job and stay here instead of the Marines. YEA!! Pray that she does, please. Everyone have a fantastic day.

My daughter ships to boot camp in mid-July. Anyone have a daughter shipping then? She's our only child so things will be different without her around, but her Dad (retired Navy) and I are extremely proud of her!!

Good morning all. Wear Denim today in support of Sexual Assault Awareness month.    Denim Day began in 1999 to protest a ruling by the Italian High Court. The Court stated in its decision that “because the victim wore very, very tight jeans, she had to help him remove them…and by removing the jeans…it was no longer rape but consensual sex.” (qtd. in “Denim Day CA Rally”). Now every year in April women will wear jeans to “express that sexual assault victims are never to blame for their own victimization regardless of the circumstances involved.” (Denim Day CA Rally). I am so glad the Navy supports this important cause.

Sonya,

Yep sounds like you have one strong young lady there!!!  Good for her!!  If she's on a ship will they be going out soon or are they in port for awhile??  Does she have a rating that she wants to get into?

Leach,

Glad your daughter finally got what she wanted.  I started as a yeoman before striking for OS.  In hindsight I probably should have stayed yeoman (except I hated secretarial at that time) but OS got me nowhere at that time because women weren't allowed on ships yet.

Catsmom,

Isn't it kinda funny how that happens to some pregnant women??  Seems like overnight the baby doubles the size of the womb!!!!!  Hope she's doing a little better, especially feeling the baby move now, and that she gets to Norfolk!!!!

In Bend, OR now!!!  Got warm enough to open up some windows for awhile.  It's cooling fast now cause the sun is going down!!!
