Mary,
Take care and hope your class is really helpful for you. Don't wear yourself out too much!!!

Suzanne,
How exciting that someone else even knows where Chardon, OH is!!!! Do you mean that you live an hour away from there? If so, you and I ought to plan a little get together. I moved about an hour south of Mentor where I lived for the past 5 years. I must say - living in Northeastern Ohio is a heck of a lot different as an adultl that it was a child growing up there years ago!!!!! I agree - I hate the snow and the absolute freezing temps. But today we were up in the 50s and sunny skies. YOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!

Ladies, I'm glad most everyone is doing well.
Valerie, I'm hope the news on your Mom is actually better than it appears. Sadly, that is often the case from what I've heard. Congestive heart failure seems to have a great effect on the breathing as does enlarged heart conditions. I will say a special prayer for her. I am so sorry that Wes was not able to continue on in Chris' class. I was really looking forward to having another one of our moms there with me and Anna.
I actually came on last night and left a post but then rather than hitting the add comment button I left the page. I was too tired to come back in to repost it.
Rene, Did you get all the info you need for Jared as far as the car goes? He may need the letter stating that he has the legal owners consent to possess the car for his use. I'd also go ahead and get it notorized just in case. It sems that it varies by base but I've read one guy going to California had to park his truck for about a week in storage while he got all his paperwork done for that reason. Waiting for "permission" to drive his car. Mine and Chris' name are both on his car so we did not have to do that. But I was prepared and gave him a note to take in case he needed it but he did not. Otherwise he needs his D.L., registration, proof of insurance, and if your state requires an inspection sticker that also needs to be valid. I always keep the copy of the inspection so Chris just took that inside the office with him. I don't know if they would physically walk outside and look to see if it is there or not. I know you are getting excited to see him.
Anna, How are you? I'm sorry I've not had much time for emails and posts this week. I hope by next Wednesday things will settle back down. Tomorrow and Monday we are working on our resumes in time for a job fair on Tuesday. But there are 4 Navy moms and two Navy vets in the class.
I have to get an email off to another dear bc Mom so I'm off here for tonight.

Take care everyone and I hope to get caught up over the weekend.

Dyon,
Love that picture!!! Thank you for sharing. Also thanks for reminding me about the tolls - Rene I know for sure there were at least 2 tolls, I don't remember if there was a third. But the tolls are $1.25 each.

And just something funny I remembered from years back - - - the last time I had to put snow chains on was going into Chardon, OH over a Christmas holiday to visit our parents and I was 6 months pregnant with Christopher!!!!!
Steve had to drive the car over the chains and I had to get down in the snow and pull them over and hook them up!!! What fun!!!

Rene,
Ok I typed this comment all up for you and then my computer dropped it!!!! So now I will try again. When we drove to Dam Neck last weekend we took 77 south through Ohio and picked up 64 just south of Charleston. The drive across WV and VA was not a problem at all. In fact there is some beautiful scenery through those mountains. Threre were plenty of law enforcement patrolling the roads also which is good. Just make sure your son drives the speed limit. Cars had no problems on the hills - trucks have to take it slow but in those stretches of roads there are three lanes so the rest of the traffic still flowed smoothly. I don't think chains would be needed at all. Even Sunday when we were coming back there were about 10 of those big heavy duty plow and salt trucks just sitting and waiting for the storm to come through. And I don't think they are expecting any more blizzards for the next couple weeks. Transportations maintains the roads quite nicely!!! Looking at the map the only other suggestion I would make is that he has a blow up of the city of Louisville so when he is going through that city he doesn't end up getting confused and getting on some other highway. You should be able to print off a mapquest page or two, or enlarge your atlas page of that city. Something that he can glance at just before getting to that busy area so he knows just where he will be going. Also in VA there is a stretch where 64 blends in with 81, goes north for a handful of miles and then branches back off heading east. Just make sure he knows that so it doesn't freak him out when he gets there. Roads are all marked well with signs so there shouldn't be any confusion.
I know how worrisome it can be to have our kids take these long road trips. I worried when ChrisA drove his car from CO to Dam Neck back in January!!!
Make sure he has lots of caffeine!!!!
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!!

Good hearing from you Barbara! I hope Brendan gets in touch with my nephew. Just to have one more person over there he can ask questions of if he needs. You sound like you have been busy.

Dyon, I look forward to chatting with you more in the future also.

Speaking of having problems with the site - - - I can no longer see anyone photos on their page - - including my own. They used to show up as a video show every time I'd go to someone's page or my own - now all I get is a white box. Does anyone else have this problem or know what I need to do to fix it??

Good Evening!!

Rene sounds like you could sure use a good nap. Rest well!!! I am so happy for you to have your son home for a few days!!! I was just thinking today as I was out running errands that as much as I loved seeing all the kids this past weekend, I wish I had my baby girl home for a few days to take her places. Since for several years it was just me and the twin daughters we used to have many "girls day/night out". We even had one of those money jars and we'd make Dad put some money in there when he'd come home!! I still miss those times so much. Nothing like having them HOME!!!!!

And Vikki, how exciting to have your daughter home for spring break also. I'm sure she's looking forward to having some time off to just kick back a bit.
Enjoy your concert - that would be so much fun!!!

Mary, I'm doing fine - thank you for asking!!! I've been doing some catch up on things and then Monday had the movers in to get Catherine's stuff and now I'm getting a larger bed delivered!!! I know this sounds really crazy but living in this little apartment - I have Catherine's old twin bed and when my husband comes home he either sleeps on the couch or a twin sized air mattress on the floor in my room!!!!! We'll actually get to sleep together now!!

Valerie, have you gotten any updates from Wes yet? I know you will let us know as soon as you know - I still keep him in my prayers. Along with Mary's Chris and Suzanne''s Andrew.

Dyon, I missed getting notes on you - - - what is your son Kevin doing??

Anna
